The new KIA Sportage The mid-size SUV – has scored a new engine and a new up-spec 2WD model as part of
the 2014 model year running changes. It’s still a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder but torque is up to 205Nm at 4000rpm
(power unchanged at 122kW at 6200rpm). Fuel consumption is reduced to 8.2l/100kms for the manual or
8.4l/100kms for the automatic (both six-speeders). No change for the 135kW/392Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel.
The new model is the 2WD Si Premium which adds 17-inch alloy wheels, leather interior, reversing camera,
LED DRLs and roof rails amongst its extras.

THE PEOPLE MOVER
The new Carnival adopting the popular KIA Signature grille and headlamps, with LED positioning lights. On
the side, you’ll notice that the front and rear overhangs are much shorter, with the car taking on a 1.6-inch
increase in wheelbase. The front windshield is also seen to be swept backwards a lot more that it has ever
been, with 19-inch alloys for wheels. At the back, LEDs for tail lamps take shape, with a new integrated
bumper guard and standard issue roof spoilers across. The interior has “First Class” lounge experience with
the cabin decked in premium quality, and very easily can be configurable and flexible with seating
arrangements. The Slide-n-Stow tracked seating in the second row and be used for two things: the first, to
easier accommodate cargo on-the-go by folding the seats upright rather than having to remove the heavy
items entirely. The second opens up more room for second row passengers, and creates the First Class
seating arrangement. If you wish to sacrifice some of the third row’s legroom, you can simply slide the second row back, unfold the retractable leg rests for the second row seats, and enjoy a First Class environment.
