Amania Mining Company Bakhud Fluorite Project Introduction Amania Mining Company is a wholly owned Afghan company established in 2010 Amania Mining is the license holder for Afghanistan’s biggest fluorspar depositBakhud Fluorite Deposit Since its forming, Amania Mining has invested considerably in the mining sector and infrastructure development of Afghanistan. Amania Mining is one of the very few companies to invest in Afghanistan for the economic and social development of Afghan people. We have created hundreds of job not only in the Capital but also in very remote rural parts of Afghanistan Introduction Cont’d Amania Mining’s dedication towards improvement of the mining industry within Afghanistan has been outstanding. With our dedication and hard work Amania Mining has become one the few Mining Companies in Afghanistan to generate revenue to the government and operate the mine with international standards. Text Geology Bakhud Fluorite Deposit holds calculated ore resource of up to 8.7 Million Metric Tons Bakhud License Area Amania Mining started the exploration of Bakhud License Area in May, 2013 Base camp, water wells, access roads and other facilities where developed along with exploration work Team of geologists started from validating all historical Soviet data, updating geological maps and collecting geological data and developed own exploration plan which was executed and completed in 2014. The team started their exploration first from southern block as it is the nearest and easily accessible, then they moved to Eastern, Western and Northern blocks. Historic Data Validation Property Description The leased area of Bakhud Property is 50.057 Square Kilometers Mineral occurrences consist of numerous almost flat lying thin bedded, irregular, lenticular and tabular fluorite beds with large barren zones between them Bakhud Fluorite Deposit is divided in four blocks namely Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Blocks Eastern Block The ore body in Eastern Block is 2500 meters long and 50 to 200 meters wide. The fluoritic quartz ore body is 3.10 meters thick with 39.32% CaF2. Text Eastern Block Resource Table Western Block The western segment of the Western Block the ore body is 800 meters long and between 60 meters and 300 meters wide In other segments of the Western Block the ore bodies are smaller with a maximum length of 300 meters, the width range between 10-20 and 100 meters In some opening the ore body is 0.25 to 8.7 meters thick with 15% to 91.30% CaF2 Text Western Block Resource Table Northern Block The ore body in Northern block varies from 1.25 meters to 9.5 meters The industrial grade ore body’s thickness varies between 0.6 meters to 5.1 meters. In various openings the fluorite content ranges between 13.89% to 63.75% Text Northern Block Resource Table Southern Block In Southern Block the natural outcrops and in the openings the ore body has been traced along the strike length of 700 meters Total length of the ore body is 500 meters and it is 10 to 200 meters wide and 0.3 to 5.3 meters thick assaying 17.95% to 90.18% CaF2 Text Southern Block Resource Table Text Whole of the Leased Area Total Resource Table Text Core Drilling Geological map showing Southern and Eastern Blocks with drill hole locations Diamond Core Drilling During 1970s about 18239 meters drilling were done by USSR for getting subsurface data to prepare cross-section and resource estimation Amania Mining started drilling for verification of previous data and filling gaps in USSR drilling Drilling in Bakhud Fluorite Deposit started by Amania Mining in December 2013d by November 2014 a total of 26 holes were drilled with a depth of 366.28 meters Text Core Samples All samples used in the resource estimation were derived from diamond drill core. Various rigs and core sizes have been used during the exploration phase. The holes used in the estimate were generally of NQ diameter. Core Drilling Cont’d Text Litho-logs of drill holes S009, S010 and S014 Text Core Logging Split core (almost mirror image) Text Mining Amania Mining is equipped with mining machinery and assets capable of mining 1000 MT of raw ore in one day Mining Methods In Bakhud Fluorite Project open pit mining method is adopted which is conducted using following methods: 1. Mining with HEMMs 2. Manual Mining Factors that allow open cast/ open pit/open cut mining Less overburden to handle Average thickness of ore varies from 2 to 3 meters The terrain ranges from flat to steep Very hilly formation Strip ratio is very less Formation of the deposit is nearly on the surface Less hauling distance Excavation of the ore is technically viable Mining Operation Flow Chart 1.Top Soil Removal 2.Mine Development 3.Haul Road Formation 4.Excavation of ROM to form Bench with proper parameters 5.Formation of Quarries 6.Hauling of ROM to Stockpile 7.Systematically Stocking for Blending 8.ROM feeding to Crush Plant and Processing Plant 9.Sampling and Quality Control 10.Mine Reclamation Mining Assets Amania Mining Currently Operates the Following HEMM 5xHitachi Excavators 4xDumptrucks 3xLoaders 2xCranes 5xJackhammers 3xCompressor 2xForklifts Mining Operations Text Processing and Metallurgy Amania Mining Produces 200 MT/Day of Metspar with a planned production of 300 MT/Day Acidspar by September 2015 Fluorspar is marketable by two methods of processing 1. Crushing and Hand Sorting which will produce Metallurgical Grade Fluorite ranging from 80% to 90% CaF2 2. Floatation and Gravity Concentration to upgrade the raw ore to Acid Grade assaying 97% CaF2 Wash Plant Production of Metallurgical Grade Fluorite The Fluorite from the ROM (Run of Mine) usually averages between 30% to 60% CaF2 Manual hand sorting takes place for preparation of ore to be fed to the crush plant Hand sorted ore is fed to the Crush Plant and is crushed to specific sizes demanded by customers (10-40mm, 20-50mm, 20-40mm, 20-60mm) The sizes are controlled by vibrator screens installed to the crush plant and each size is carried to the packing floor by conveyor belts. While crushing, washing of the ore also takes place simultaneously to remove impurities and upgrade the CaF2 content To ensure quality, our QA/QC department takes representative samples before and after crushing to be analyzed in our in-house laboratory for quality assurance The output grade is usually demand based. The grades produced are 80%, 85% and 90% CaF2 Text Crush Plant Production The produced fluorspar is packed in 1 ton PP Jumbo bags for export Packing Hand Sorting Text Finished Product Metallurgical Grade 5-20 mm size 80% CaF2 Text Finished Product Metallurgical Grade 20 to 50 mm 85% CaF2 Text Finished Product Metallurgical Grade 20-60mm 90% CaF2 Text Processing Plant Amania Mining is currently commission its 300 MT/D processing facility at Bakhud Fluorite Site Processing Plant Cont’d The machinery for the processing plant was ordered in October 2014 The countries where the machineries are imported from are: Canada, South Africa, China and India 90% of the Machinery has already reached the site Process Plant Machinery Text R&D Amania Mining is equipped with a state of the art Laboratory and a a complete set of Pilot Plant Amania Mining Has 2 Separate Labs One Lab is used for assaying of geological samples, mining samples as well as quality assurance. The second Lab is primarily used for R&D purposes. Lab 2 development work Pilot Plant The pilot plant is designed to conduct pilot scale tests on fluorite and other minerals in order to design full processing plants The Pilot Plant was designed in August 2014 and fully commissioned in December same year.
