2 New Screens for short radius
1800 PCS
Primary Application
Under the nozzle, pressure compensation screens help reduce
pressure fluctuations. Use to control fogging of spray head nozzles
by reducing the incoming pressure or to reduce the radius of the
water pattern. Take control of your system with 1800 PCS Screens.
Features
• Compensates for pressure variations
• Eliminates fogging and water waste caused by high pressures
• Nozzles can be matched with screens to create short-throw,
reduced radius patterns and/or flush-mounted bubblers
• New .08 gpm (0,02 m3/h; 0,01 l/s) and .25 gpm (0,06 m3/h; 0,02
l/s) screens allow greater flexibility in achieving 4', 6' and 7' radius
patterns
• Color-coded for easy identification
• Use with all 1800 Series plastic nozzles (MPR, VAN, U-Series,
Strips and Bubblers)
• Easily installed in new and retrofit applications. Simply replace
standard screen with PCS screen

PCS-370: 3.7 gpm (0,84 m3/h; 0,23 l/s) – Red
Recommended nozzle + PCS combinations to achieve
4', 6' and 7' radii.*
*With a pressure compensator, outlet pressure will be reduced, but
will fluctuate as the inlet pressure changes. A pressure compensator
cannot maintain outlet pressure at a constant rate. A pressure
regulator establishes and maintains a constant outlet pressure of 30
psi (2,1 bar) as long as the inlet pressure at the spray head is greater
than 30 psi (2,1 bar).
Operating Range
Flow: 0.08 to 3.70 gpm (0,02 to 0,84 m3/h; 0,01 to 0,23 l/s)

Only Rain Bird rotors have Rain Curtain nozzle technology
that features larger water droplets for resistance to windy
conditions, effective close-in watering to eliminate dry spots
near the rotor and even distribution over the entire radius
range. In side-by-side comparisons with the competition, the
clear advantages of Rain Curtain technology can actually be
seen with the naked eye.
Rain Curtain Technology
The Competition
Rain Curtain technology is only available on Rain Bird rotors,
including the 3500 Series, 5000 and 5000 Plus Series,
Falcon® 6504, 7005 and 8005.
Rotors tested at consistent psi with no physical disruption of the stream.

There are three elements which create the superior coverage of
Rain Curtain nozzle technology.
1
Large Droplets for Consistent Performance
How is Nozzle Performance Measured?
Scheduling Coefficient (SC) is one of the most accurate
ways to measure water distribution.
■ SC measures how much longer you must water the entire
area for the driest sections to receive sufficient water.
■ The lower the SC, the better the rotor distributes water.
A SC of 1.0 represents perfect uniformity. Tests show
that even rain has an SC greater than 1.0.**
Rain Curtain technology produces larger water droplets that
are far less susceptible to wind, and greatly minimizes misting
and airborne evaporation. This competitive advantage assures
that the right amount of water goes where it needs to go which
saves time, money and equally important, one of nature’s most
valuable resources.
2
Effective Close-in Watering
■ Test results from side-by-side comparisons with
competitive nozzle products prove that Rain Curtain
technology consistently outperforms the competition
with the lowest scheduling coefficients—as low as 1.1.*
*Based on tests conducted at Rain Bird’s Product Research Center
in Glendora, CA. Test results reflect a comparison of Rain Bird’s
products with those of its principal competitors.
**Based on a report published by The Center for Irrigation Technology.
Engineered Rain Curtain Technology
Long-range
Watering Port
Close-in
Watering Port
Mid-range
Watering Port
Effective and gentle close-in watering eliminates dry spots
around the rotor without seed washout.
3
Even Distribution Over the Entire Radius
Rain Bird’s broad range of Rain Curtain nozzles [0.54-36.3 gpm
(0,12-8,24 m3/h), 15-81 ft. (4,6-24,7m)] is engineered to deliver
optimum distribution uniformity across the entire radius range.
This uniformity compensates for varying environmental conditions,
offering flexibility to the designer and assuring green grass results.
In Rain Bird commercial rotors,
Rain Curtain technology centers
around three watering ports that
deliver long-range, mid-range
and close-in water for optimum
distribution uniformity. This
uniformity across the entire
radius range greatly diminishes
dependence on near-perfect head-to-head spacing, and
reduces the need to overwater because there are no
gaps in coverage. The close-in watering port features an
expansion chamber that actually takes energy out of that
part of the stream which is diverted downward around the
head. By reducing the velocity of the water by as much as
90%, effective close-in watering is achieved. The close-in
water flowing out of the bottom of this port is distributed
gently, even though the rotor is operating at a relatively
high flow and pressure.

Indoor or Outdoor for Residential and Light Commercial Use
ESP Modular Series
Primary Application
A member of the popular ESP family of controllers, the ESP Modular
is designed for residential and light commercial landscapes where
flexibility to adapt to growing landscaping needs is key. Never again
will you have to replace a controller to add more stations. This
controller maximizes your productivity by saving you time and money.
It improves upon Rain Bird’s already easy to use ESP style of
programming with a large, easy to read display and intuitive
programming sequence, making this the most user-friendly controller
in its class. And features like the Contractor Default ™ program make
service calls more efficient and earn you more money by taking less
time. ESP Modular controllers make time work to your advantage.
Features
• Easily upgrades from a four station base model to 13 stations with
the addition of 3-station modules at installation or in the future
• Hot-swappable modules can be installed while the controller is in
operation and in any position
• Contractor Default ™ Program allows the contractor to save his own
default program and retrieve it with the push of a button. Useful in
easily reloading a schedule that has been altered by a homeowner
or to replace a temporary schedule for new seed or sod
• Enhanced Diagnostic Feedback™ alerts the user to conditions when
watering is suspended due to an activated sensor, shorted stations
or programming errors with a warning light and text message on
the LCD
• Auxiliary Station™ can be set to bypass an active sensor to allow
watering even if the other stations are disabled or can be set as a
normal station
• 365-day calendar with leap year intelligence means that you can
set an “Odd” or “Even” day watering schedule and not worry about
changing the date on leap years
• Four irrigation cycle modes for maximum flexibility and compliance
to all major watering restrictions (Custom 7-day calendar, cyclic
1-31 day interval, and odd/even day calendar)
• Non-volatile memory maintains the irrigation schedule indefinitely
during a power outage
• Lithium battery maintains the time and date for up to 6 months
during a power outage
• Permanent day off allows the user to set any day of the week as a
non-watering day in any program or schedule, making it easy to
comply with watering restrictions or other requirements such as
weekly lawn care or maintenance
• Global season adjust (0-200%) allows the user to alter the run time
of all the valves in every program with the push of a button
• Dedicated sensor terminals allow the user to easily connect a
sensor to the controller for maximum water efficiency. A light (LED)
and a message on the LCD indicates when a sensor is active
• Sensor bypass switch allows the user to override an active sensor
• Fuseless, diagnostic circuit breaker identifies a station with valve or
wiring problems and continues to water operable stations
• “Valve Test Terminal” allows the installer to test the valve wires
during installation to determine the valve that each wire is
connected to
• Spacious heavy-duty cabinet with internal junction box provides lots
of room for wiring and eliminates the need to purchase an external
j-box for a clean and professional looking installation. Outdoor
model comes with key-locking cabinet
• “Remote Ready” connector enables the controller to be used with
Rain Bird’s RM1 and RMX1 multi-function remote control systems

Rain Bird® Irrigation Supplement
Primary Application
Rain Bird Irrigation Supplement is water bound in the form of a solid
gel. It is an ideal irrigation supplement for use in establishing native
plant material where permanent irrigation is not required as well as
new plant material in existing landscape areas. Rain Bird IS increases
survival rates of transplants by providing continuous moisture needed
to reduce the stress of relocation.
General Use Guide
• The recommended
number of quarts is
based on the needs
of medium water-use
plant material. For
high water-use plants,
multiply this
recommended number
of units by 1.5.
• Excessive heat, wind,
plants with extensive
foliage or plants
bearing fruit will
require additional
watering.
Features
• Helps new transplants become established in existing landscapes.
Existing vegetation is not subjected to over-watering while trying to
establish the new plant, and the new plant has its own additional
source of water until it becomes established
• Provides moisture around the clock to the root zone where capillary
activity in the soil carries and maintains moisture throughout the
root zone
• 100% all natural, non-toxic and harmless to people and pets. Not a
synthetic polymer
• Provides water to the plant, instead of competing with the plant for
water like polymers
• Available in degradable paper carton with non-toxic, water-based
inks that meet landfill requirements
• Establish healthier trees and shrubs by minimizing transplant stress
• Eliminates evaporation, runoff and leaching
• Requires little to no maintenance
• Now also available in smaller 30-Day Gel Packs
