Inauguration party in Patilla Roberto Junguito, President of Cerrejón, joining in with families from Patilla. The Roche dance group stole the show By Jaider Carrillo My family and I were really happy to take part in the celebrations for the inauguration of our new town. On that day, the performance from the Roche dance group kept us entertained along with the animation of “Chiche Badillo”. When night fell, we were thrilled by the Vallenato performance from the singer Farid Ortiz, who inspired us until dawn. Memorable ceremony By Darién Duarte On June 14, an important ceremony took place to inaugurate the new Patilla settlement. The Governor of La Guajira took part, the President of Cerrejón and many famous personalities from the town. My family was happy and proud of the event. We were presented with bicycles, which have been really useful, and also some albums with photos to remember the occasion. No complaints from me; I liked everything. Good reading habits By Rosa Isela Ramírez On Friday, June 22, the members of the Communications Committee carried out a reading comprehension exercise with the magazine “Huella Social” (Leaving footprints), which deals with community issues and the reality of many towns. We organized a round table and each of us presented the issue that most caught our attention; most people talked about the environment. It was a fun exercise. “Through reading, we improve the way we write” Boletín JUVENTUD PRESENTE
