Thank you so much for your support and have a fantastic evening! powhatan auction Gala 2 March 2013 Dear Parents and Friends, Grab your ruby red slippers and join us for our first ever ‘No Place Like Home’ Auction Gala right in our Henkel Actitivies Center on Saturday, April 13th. It will be a special evening of fun and celebration. The food, special Oz beverages and the opportunity to enjoy old and new friends will make it an evening you won’t want to miss! This year’s Gala will feature an auction table comprised of items for every taste, interest and price. We will also enjoy live music and dancing by the band SHAG and a fabulous dinner which will be a culinary treat. The live auction promises to be exciting again this year with a Hot Air Balloon Ride for Two and Dinner at the L’Auberge Provencial French Inn to bring the Oz theme home. Parent volunteers have worked tirelessly to gather a wide range of auction items and to magically transform the gym into the Land of Oz. Among the many fantastic items are a Five Night Stay in the City that never sleeps, New York , a one week stay in Vermont, amazing dinner parties, tickets to see Jimmy Buffett at Jiffy Lube Live and so much more. So bring a few of your friends and join us in celebrating another fantastic school year. Remember, all the money raised this evening goes directly back to Powhatan and ultimately your children. Services must be utilized before April 13, 2014, unless otherwise specified. The buyer is responsible for understanding the terms of the sale. Misunderstandings of terms, conditions, time limits, and general conditions are the responsibility of the buyer. Items must be picked up the night of the auction. Descriptions of items have been made with every effort to describe them correctly and all items are sold “as is”. Please note that vacation homes are not transferable. Persons desiring to make a bid will write their bidding number and the amount of the bid on the official silent auction bidding sheet. Your bidding number is registered to you. Please use this number when you bid. Each new bid must equal or exceed the minimum increase amount stated on the sheet. The silent auction tables will close at various times during the evening. Closing times will be announced. 5 auction rules The winning bid will be circled and the sale recorded at the cashier’s table. It is the bidder’s responsibility to check with the cashier to learn if his/her bid is the winning bid. sealed Bid rules Each sealed bid must be for a specific amount. Your name, address, and telephone number must accompany the bid. Items successfully procured through the sealed bid process must be paid for upon notification. Sealed bids for Silent Auction items may be received until 5:30 PM, April 13, 2013. Live Auction sealed bids may be received until the beginning of the Live Auction. Your bid should state the amount beyond which you will not go. Your personal bidder will bid up to your stated amount. All bids must be presented in a sealed envelope and marked with the Auction Item Number on the front. reserve prices Some items may have a reserve price as a condition of sale.
