powhatan auction Gala
2
March 2013
Dear Parents and Friends,
Grab your ruby red slippers and join us for our first
ever ‘No Place Like Home’ Auction Gala right in our
Henkel Actitivies Center on Saturday, April 13th. It will be
a special evening of fun and celebration. The food, special
Oz beverages and the opportunity to enjoy old and new
friends will make it an evening you won’t want to miss!
This year’s Gala will feature an auction table comprised
of items for every taste, interest and price. We will also
enjoy live music and dancing by the band SHAG and a
fabulous dinner which will be a culinary treat. The live
auction promises to be exciting again this year with a Hot
Air Balloon Ride for Two and Dinner at the L’Auberge
Provencial French Inn to bring the Oz theme home.
Parent volunteers have worked tirelessly to gather a
wide range of auction items and to magically transform
the gym into the Land of Oz. Among the many fantastic
items are a Five Night Stay in the City that never sleeps,
New York , a one week stay in Vermont, amazing dinner
parties, tickets to see Jimmy Buffett at Jiffy Lube Live
and so much more.
So bring a few of your friends and join us in celebrating another fantastic school year. Remember, all the
money raised this evening goes directly back to
Powhatan and ultimately your children. I look forward to
seeing you there!
Sincerely,
Susan Scarborough
