Potentate’s Message...
Greetings Nobles and Lady’s all:
January has come and gone, with that being
said, so has the 36th annual Bedouin Shrine
Classic. Wow! ! What a great week, kids every
where, basketball every day, that truly is a great
combination. The Classic was a huge success,
thanks to you!!! The
tournament
committee did a
fantastic job, along with
all of the Nobility who took an active role in this
great event. Last, but certainly not least a
special thanks to all the Lady’s for taking care of
the hospitality rooms and keeping everyone fed.
With this successful event we can rest assured
that our kids will be taken care of the way that they
deserve.
February dinner club will be Saturday the 6th
at 6.30PM, there will be a Valentines dance
following dinner club. Dust off your shoes and bring
your favorite sweetheart to dinner and dancing. This
promises to be an exciting evening.
In closing, I have to say that this 1st month as your
Potentate has been an honor, and I’m looking forward
to the next 11 months, Bedouin truly is the Heart Beat of
the Shrine.
Yours in the Faith,
Roy Robertson

Letter from the Treasurer
To all Nobles:
Here I am sitting here writing this note and it is 28 degrees outside,
while Illustrious Sir Davidson is in South Texas trying to figure out if
he wants to do a 48 hour or a 24 hour tuna fishing trip. Now what is
wrong with this picture? Illustrious Sir Davidson called and asked that I
write this note to each and every one of you.
He and Susie would like to thank each and every one of you for
the support that was given to them this past year. To the Shrine Clubs,
Units and Nobles, the support that was given to the capital
improvements and upgrades to the Temple were a blessing. These
upgrades consist of replacing the ice maker which was past due,
replacing every light in the Temple with new LED lighting, the
complete remodel of the bathrooms, finishing the sound system in the
big hall, repair of office computer and purchasing a new lap top
computer. None of the improvements could have been done without
the support of the nobility, units and shrine clubs.
Yours in the Faith,
Mark Hamrick P.P.
Treasurer
Letter from the Oriental Guide
To all Nobles:
March 8, 2016 is International Pancake Day. We will be working at
two IHOPs this year. Muskogee and Durant. We will need all the help
we can get. If you can help out in either place, we welcome you. We
also could use some clowns at both places. I will be working in Durant
and Rebar will be in Muskogee. If you can help please call and give me
the times you can work. Our phone numbers are in front of this camel
tracks. This is a great fundraiser and we all can share in it. If we can get
enough, we can each have short shifts. Please consider helping out
with this, it will be very rewarding. Thank you.
Yours in the Faith,
Larry Missing Link Cragg

Bedouin Clowns
Well, 2016 is starting off
really great!
We had a really great turn
out to the Bedouin Basketball
Classic this year, and a big
thanks to those who helped!
Below are a few notes taken
from our last Clown Meeting
during the Classic on 01/09/16.
We will be having the
Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday
March 19th. During this time we
will be taking group and
individual photos for the 2016
Clown coloring book. The next
meeting will be held at
Hornbacks @ 6:30 on Feb 11th.
I want to remind everyone
that Akdar will be having their
circus during the last week of
February. This is an excellent
time to extend our
encouragement and support to
our fellow brothers and clowns.
If you have any additions
or would like to see something
added to this article, please
contact me Jonathan

Basketball Classic Finance Committee
I would like to thank the following for a great job of selling
tickets at the Bedouin Shrine Classic ticket offices at the Civic Center
and Muskogee High School.
Jim Bushnell, Jack Jenkins, Hershel McBride, Terry Clark, Steve
Fletcher, Buck Hooper, Mark Hamrick, Greg Schuler, BK Smith,
David Ross, Harold Willard, Nate Davidson.
I cannot thank this group of guys enough for the great job they did
selling tickets and balancing their money drawers. The Classic
Committee could not have pulled this off without your dedication.
I would also like to thank Jeff Wiseman and Larry McDonald for
taking tickets at the arena door. They did a great job.
Yours in the Faith,
Dennis “Sidekick” Sparks
Finance Chairman
McIntosh Co. Article
The Mcintosh County Shrine Club had their January meeting at
June’s restaurant in Checotah on the 13th, with all the newly elected
Divan members present. The February meeting will be held on
Wednesday the 10th at the Eufaula fairgrounds exhibition hall. The meal
will be a valentine’s banquet complete with ribeye steaks and all the
trimmings! If you plan on attending please RSVP with
Andy Killingsworth @ (918) 781-9752 by February 5th.

Clown Meeting
We will be having the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, Mar 19th.
During this time we will be taking group photos and individual
photos for those who need a new one. This is for the 2016 circus
coloring book. The Temple will be reserved for our Egg stuffing party
on Friday, Mar 18th.
The next meeting will be held at Hornbacks Restaurant @ 6:30PM
on Feb 11th. The March 10th meeting will also be held at Hornbacks @
6:30PM. If anyone is interested in going to the Akdar Shrine Circus, it is
the last week in February.
It isn’t too early to start planning for South Central (Louisiana) or
Imperial (Tampa). Please let me know if you want to attend either or
both. Finally, if you are interested in a Clown Jacket, please let me know
and I will get them ordered (I am unsure about cost but will find out
soon).
Yours in the Faith,
Jonathan “Gov. Jojo” Seltenreich
Fire Brigade
Bedouin Shrine Fire Brigade’s monthly meeting was held at
Solomon Masonic Lodge #32. Those who did not attend the New Years
Eve dance at the Temple missed a good time. Unit discussed further
raffle project. The unit would like to welcome its newest member,
Jason (Pinball) Smith. Welcome aboard!
An aluminum skin was made & attached to our trailer showing,
“World’s Greatest Iron Horse Patrol & the Fire Brigade.” Thanks to all
who made this possible.
We would like to encourage all members to get involved & help
the Fire Brigade grow.
Yours in the Faith,
Asti B. McFarland
Fire Chief
Pittsburg Co.
Greetings from the Pittsburg Co. Shrine Club:
All had enough to eat at our monthly meeting, with the meal being
pot luck. Thanks to everyone who provided the great food.
Plans were made to hold our Sweetheart Banquet on our regular
monthly meeting. Which will be February 9th, 7:00PM at the Whistle Stop
Bistro. That is the same location we had our Christmas dinner. The cost
is $15.00 per person & BYOB.
All should make plans to attend the Valentines dinner & dance at
the Temple on Feb. 6th.
We extend a welcome to all the visitors at our Shrine Club meeting.
The visiting Divan’s messages helps keep us in the loop.
We want to congratulate all elected officers & appointees.
Best wishes to all for a happy & prosperous New Year.
Yours in the Faith,
Robert Padgett
President
