Welcome to our 7th Annual Houck Horse Company Spring Auction. If you are looking
for ANY type of horse, you could not be in a better place anywhere! We have a excellent selection of horses here today from all over the country. Go through your
catalog and check out some awesome horses, find them, talk with the owners and
see for yourself! There is horses for every discipline. We will preview them at noon
and people will be riding around all day. If you have any questions or need any assistance please don't hesitate to ask. We hope you have a successful day buying and
selling your horses right here. Remember, its an auction, its fast, its fun and it is a
great way to buy and sell top horses, so if you see something you want raise your
hand, don't wait long because we have a lot of horses to sell and we are going to
keep them moving rapidly.

Terms & Conditions
1. Cash, Cashier’s Check, Personal check, or credit cards are accepted as payment
today. There is a 2% office fee on all transactions. This fee will be waved if paying with cash, check or cashiers check.
2. Houck Horse Company Auction is Acting as a selling agent. All guarantees are
between the buyer and seller. All information in the catalog is deemed accurate,
however errors can be made. Announcements from the auctioneer or staff or
owner in sale ring supersede catalog information. Any error in catalog will be
called if possible.
3. Shop the horses today, do your homework inspect the horses, there will be ample
time to check them out. When you bid on a horse you are bidding to claim ownership. When the auctioneer says sold he is yours unless the seller no sales the
horse. All no sales must be announced in the auction ring before the horse leaves
the ring. There are no “buy backs”
4. When you purchase the horse settle up payment in the office before you leave.
5. Checks will be mailed to ALL sellers on Tuesday May 13th.
6. All horses must go through the sale ring and all horses sold will pay commission.
Any horses no saled in the sale ring and sold outside afterwards will be required
to pay the commission.

Ice Man~10 yr old Gray Pony Gelding 32" tall. You know how people always say if only a horse could
talk...WELL this is probably a good thing for my daughter Lana and the 3 Mason kids this this pony can't talk because I have a feeling that if he could tell me everything these four kids have done with him I am sure they would
be grounded for life. I have seen them riding him two & three at a time, they take him out whenever they want, ride
him sometimes for an hour, sometimes for ten minutes, and sometimes ALL DAY. They have pulled each other on
a sled, they have rode him up to his eyeballs in the snow drifts and I think they even got him stuck in a snow and
how they go thim out I don't want to know. they chase the hot heels and try to rope it Lana has chased cattle that
are three times the size of the pony. Now I wouldn't blame that pony a bit if he jumped the fence and took off running as soon as those kids come out of the house, but instead he will stand at the gate and wait for the kids to come

Luna~5yr old Black Mare. I have been riding her all winter and she will make someone a very nice
trail horse and I believe she has the mind to go any direction. "Luna" is about 15h and just the right
size for kids or folks looking for a ride that's not too tall. Current on coggins, stands nice for the farrier,

Time For A Sweet Te aka Sweetie~15 yr old APHA Sorrel Overo Mare. Sweetie has been on our place since a baby and was a great horse
for our children. Made her a brood mare and now one of her babies is our best gelding. My daughter won trips to State in Pleasure and
Games. That takes a special horse! Also won the state championship in Sort/Penning on this mare. She is very gentle and anyone can ride

Hercules~ 10 yr old Buckskin Gelding. Hercules is a very cool little buckskin gelding. He stands a

PLC Raider Driftwood aka Raider~13 yr old AQHA Bay Gelding. We bred and raised and trained Raider. He is a half brother to
little under 14 hands and is as pretty as a buckskin color as you can get, with 4 black legs and black
mane & tail. He came from a ranch in Oklahoma. He has been roped off of sorted lots of cattle and
ridden in every type of condition possible. He is very easy to ride just about any one in the work would
enjoy him. He is great on the trails, lots of fun in the arena and you can do about anything you can
think of with him. He is very smooth and h as a great trot & outstanding slow lope. He neck reins very
well and stops on a dime with a soft touch. This is a very friendly little dude with a great personality.
He has rock hard black feet and has good bone structure. Lana has ridden him, I have ridden him, Jill

Jessie Kuka's World Champion Cowboy Mounted Shooting Horse "Hickory" in which we also bred and raised. Raider does arena riding,
has done the WSCA games and has been to local saddle club shows. Raider would be a top notch barrel horse if his rider wasn't 57 yrs old!
He will pick up his leads and he knows collection. He has a nice back up, will side pass, and has a good stop. Raider trail rides, crosses

Royal~9 yr old Blue Roan Gelding. Royal is a good looking, nice headed gelding. The type of horse
you can cinch up tight and just go for a ride. We have taken him trail riding and over night camped
with him. He has been pastured with our bucking bulls and also gathered them many times for buck
outs we have right at home. He has to stand tied during the whole event. We have not used him to drag
bulls out, but I am sure we could. Gets along well with other horses. Clips and loads well and is good
for farrier. A very handy gelding to have around. With that True Blue Roan color!! Fresh Coggins test.

Affidavit aka Hickory~6 yr old AQHA Palomino Gelding. If we want to talk about a gelding with some Class, here he is! This six
year old gelding has been worked in a feedlot and roped on outside, and has mostly been used for trail riding since we got him. He’s completely reliable and safe, and will lead, follow, or go out alone. No fear of dogs, cars, water, bridges or deadfall, he’s completely reliable for
any level of rider. He’s been trail ridden throughout Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and North Dakota; He’s super easy, gentle, and nice to be
around. He’s very well mannered on the ground, and is used as a farrier demonstration horse, due to his calm demeanor. At 15.3 hands, this
gelding tacks up the same every time with no hump, buck or foolishness. He’ll load and unload without issue, and will stand at the trailer or
go all day for you, outdoors or indoors. He is one hand neck rein broke, and has the correct mind, attitude, and heart that everyone wants in
a horse. This outstanding 6 year old gelding has the potential to go in any direction you want him to, and has a heart and mind that is eager

LD Fame is Okey aka Izzy~6 yr old AQHA Bay Mare. This mares pedigree reads the whos who of modern barrel racing. She is an
own daughter of Kuschels great stud My Stud Leroy. My Stud Leroy is a half brother to Mary Walkers great horse Latte. Their sire Dash for
Perks has off spring that have barrel racing earnings in excess of $1,800,000. Dash for Perks is the #4 all time leading barrel horse sire according to equistats, he is now deceased. My Stud Leroy is now residing in Brazil. The bottom end of this mare is by an own daughter of
Okey Dokey Dale SI 108 and has race tack earnings in excess of $250,000. On this horses papers My Stud Leroy, Dash for Perks, Dash for
Cash, Dash Ta Fame, First Down Dash and Okey Dokey Dale. I would have to say she is the business. She was sold to a guy in Montana as
a yearling. He used her for a ranch horse so she missed out on any futurity chances, however she is a better horse for it because she is EXTREMELY well broke. She is very well trained and she is VERy well mannered. She has been used outside roping, doctoring, gathering
and branding calves. She has a foundation laid down under her now like very few horses. All she needs now is to start working the barrels.
This horse is going to be a huge threat to the leader board when she gets finished I promise.

JK Ruling Hancock aka Roany~11 yr old AQHA Roan Gelding. If you want an All Around Honest gentle fun horse to ride, you
should take a gander here. Roany is as nice of a horse as you will ever throw a leg over. You can stand him up in a stall as long as you want,
take him out cinch him tight and jump on with no hassle. He is kind and gentle and the type of horse that I don't worry about what, He's
gonna do when my kids or dogs come flying by stupidly. He is very broke and neck reins well, stops great and has smooth gaits. He keeps
his head right where he should. He will go wherever you point him and puts up no fuss. He will stand tied all day and really likes attention.

Last summer Whiskey was trail rode by a eight year boy so he is safe for anybody. Whiskey has also been used on a ranch for all ranch duties from sorting to roping and doctoring. broke, broke, broke and gentle. He came out of Texas and was used on a big ranch. He has worked a lot
of cattle out in the big wide open spaces. He has been rode a million miles from dawn to dusk. He is a
horse that can stand up in the stall for weeks on end and come out just as gentle as he started. He is a
ranch rodeo/team sorting type of horse without a doubt and also enjoys a relaxing trail ride with his

IMASHINYJEWEL aka Hope~13 yr old AQHA Sorrel mare. 2013 Jumping Figure Intermediate CHAMPION over 150 riders. Also
took 5th in speed dash and placed in 4-in a line. Hope is a built, athletic mare with tons of personality. She is a very consistent horse! This
horse can easily run 11 sec pole runs no questions asked. If she makes a mistake during the run she will recover right away and you wouldn’t ever be able to tell by the times she clocks in at. Hope does all the games, barrel races, and trail rides. Her previous owner brought her to
college rodeo in Colorado. Has been to state 4-H multiple times and placed in the WSCA Championship Show. Hope has also been used as
a trail horse in both Minnesota and Colorado, a turn back horse for roping steers and calves, practice horse for breakaway roping, jumping,
driving, and English equitation.(W/ previous owner) Nothing fazes this mare when on pattern. She will run her hardest every run she also
seems to get faster as the day goes on. Does fine with or without shoes. I usually have them on her during the season. Hauls great, eats and

that is you have him tied up at the end of the day you could easily forget about him until morning because he does not make any racket. And you don't even know hes there (not saying we

Coys Kingville aka Crosby~ 10yrs old AQHA Buckskin Gelding. Crosby is a well built registered buckskin with a gentle and easy to
get along with personality. He has been trail ridden and covered tons of country as well as with plenty of hours in the arena. He has been
sacked out to a rope and drug many obstacles such as logs and barrels. Crosby has a good turn on the hind end and a smooth roll back. This

Sparks~8yrs old paint gelding pony. Sparks is a young kid’s dream pony. He is extremely kind and
gentle and is a pleasure to have around. Sparks is about 13 hands and Tayler made. He is such a fun
horse to have around, he is easy to catch, easy to work with, and our 6 year old daughter rides sparks
everywhere. Sparks is very willing and fun to ride. He has a good smooth trot and nice easy canter.
Lana asks him to do anything and he very willingly does it. He rides in the arena very nice and quiet.
Lana likes chasing the hot heels on him and she plays around roping too. Sparks takes everything in
stride. He is as comfortable riding outside as he is inside, he will go through, over, under, or on anything you ask. He is a very safe and special pony! I have also used Sparks for our lessons. Consignor

Deeken Em Out~5yr old miniature gelding. Deek is a gorgeous buckskin Gelding. He has been used
for carting/driving and drives single and double hitch (right side). He is confident and has no problems
going out on his own, great movement and would look really sharp in the show ring. He has great hooves
(no founder). He is easy to vaccinate and worm. Has current vaccines, worming and coggins for 2014. He

Charm has been used for trail riding. She is bottom pecking order in our mixed herd of genders. I rode this mare for the first time a few
weeks ago on a group trail ride and she was great. She is very content to follow along and doesn't care if she falls behind the pack, just give
her a kiss or kick and she will trot to catch up, also goes into a lope with ease. She respects the electric fence, she stalls and trailers, she will
crib on her water bucket if she doesn't have her collar on when she is in her stall but as soon as her collar is on she stops (don't even have to
tighten it). She will come with her collar. She has had her 2014 shots including limes, coggins, trimmed (does not require shoes). Her teeth
were done at end of January 2014. Charm is my sister in laws horse I'm helping her sell her. She has decided she doesn't have the time to
own a horse of her own and will just ride one of mine when she finds the time.. I don't believe in a BOMB PROOF horse but this would be
as close as they come! If your looking for a lesson horse or one for the little kids or a timid smaller adult, she is for you! This horse sheds

Scooby~11 yr old Dun Gelding. Scooby is the kind of horse that I hold the absolute HIGHEST regard for! HE is a horse that I can go out and do a cattle job on roping, or sorting or any type of ranch
rodeo job, he has been to the High School Finals in the Breakaway Roping. BUT the VERY best part
about this horse is he is the kindest most gentle horse that I have seen in along time. My 6 yr old
daughter and her friends that are from 6-10 ride, lead, drag, push, pull and do anything else they can
think of to him. And anybody that knows my daughter knows that she can come up with a lot of things
to do with a horse. And when her friends get involved with things I don't even want to know what goes
on! ALL I care about is that they are all safe and with this horse their is absolutely no doubt in my
mind that they will be safe. He is an extremely nice horse that anybody and every body should enjoy.
He has a great neck rein, soft lope and stops instantly when you ask. Nothing bothers him. Check out

She is not for a beginner as she has the ability to really move out and take extremely tight turns. With just a season of practice this could

Betsy is doing very well here in her new home. She has been the perfect horse for us. We are in our mid 50's and do a lot of
trail riding and weekend camping, while our twenty something daughters do barrel racing. Betsy is living in a herd of 7:
geldings, mares, young, and old. She gets along well with all of them and is in the middle of the pecking order.
She is healthy and being well taken care of. We purchased Betsy to be used as a trail horse for my husband, but
I have ridden her plenty also. We have taken her to a variety of terrains and she handles even the most challenging ones like a champ. She likes playing in water crossings, so be careful unless you want to get wet! In the beginning there were some issues getting in and out of a slant load trailer, but with practice we were able to overcome that. She is easy to catch and stands well for farrier and vet. Betsy has become a beloved member of our

Royal is about 12-12.1hh and he is 11yrs old. This boy has done just about everything. He has shown in both
English and western pleasure, he was doing dressage and by his movement he was very good at it. He has also
done team sorting and has been a very reliable trail pony for not only me but many kids. He was also used for
pony rides and has been on downtown Minneapolis amongst many other cities. He is a very much in your
pocket pony and is always interested in what you're doing. He has been on camping trips and has gone swimming. He has very smooth gates, knows his leads and a very nice stop. Push him out for more speed or slow
him up, he does both. I've used him to play tag on as well. He's a very playful gelding in the pasture and its
fun to watch him play. He's good about dewormer, shots and his feet. He loads, ties, lunges, bathes and clips.
He's one you can put a beginner on or a confident child so they can learn more. He without any issues can
carry a 130lb rider single. He's also done double. He's not spooky but should something catch his eye he doesn't jump, just looks at it funny! He was also used for day camp and the kids loved him and he loved all the
attention. I don't find it fair to him to just sit being he loves attention and being used. I have yet to meet one

Okie Leo Anytime aka Leo~11 yr old AQHA Bay Gelding 15.1 hands. Leo is very responsive and well broke to ride. He is a great

trail horse. I have ridden him with a train going right in front of us at night blowing it’s horn and it didn’t phase him. I trail rode him in
some stormy weather and he just rode on like a pro. He goes through water and over bridges no problem. He will go down the road alone
or anywhere in a group. Leo will lunge, clips, stands for the farrier and vet. He has been camping overnight and stands tied to the trailer no
problem. He is up to date on coggins, vaccinations (including Rhino for EHV-1) and hoof trimming. Leo can leg yield, side pass, pivot,
bend and back. I did car parking on him at the rodeo and he handled it well. He has been started on games and is loping the patterns. Leo
has had 30 days professional training last year for games. The previous owner says she worked him on cows but I never have. Leo has a
great foundation of training and can excel in any direction you want to take him. No buck, rear or bite in him. He will load and trailer no
problem. Needs experienced rider. Leo is AQHA registered. He has Okie Leo and Peponita on his papers! He also goes all the way back to
the great King. Leo is also registered with the National Foundation Quarterhorse Registry and is 87% foundation bred.Leo does have some
trust issues as he was abused previously. He is not mean, he will just turn and run if you come at him too quick on the ground. He does

with her from; roping the hot heels and riding down the road and through the snow banks. One day when we were dragging logs, out of the
snow, Justin had been riding her he roped a log (thats about all he can catch with a rope) that was about 8 to 10 feet long and drug it about
50 feet up to where we were cutting and splitting wood. She just took it all in stride and went right in stride. She is a very good horse and we

I bought an Arabian Pinto pony named Farrah. She is amazing! There were so
many other horses last year that I'd have loved to have taken home as well.
I had fallen in love at first sight with her from her pictures and videos before the sale. I was thrilled when we won the bid! Though she can have a
bit of a diva attitude, she has never done anything naughty with my
daughter and is an amazingly fast learner. At our first ever WSCA show I
found out she needed to back up. She learned to do this (with my beginner 5 year old daughter riding) in about 5 minutes just before our class.
She has also given pony rides at a birthday party and done several other
shows in everything from speed events to western pleasure to huntseat.
She took 2nd in halter at a WSCA show against a big class of "normal

Wanted to give you an update on Junior, the 10 year old gelding we bought
at your spring sale last year. I had just sold our pony because after 1 year the
kids weren’t clicking with him and I was doing most of the riding. Since
we are limited to being a one horse family I bought Junior thinking he
would be just for me. I am happy and sad to report that I never get to
ride him He’s been phenomenal at building the kid’s confidence. They
have learned to canter with him, have taken him to clinics, and enjoy
trail riding and arena work with him. The kids are signed up for 4-H
and looking forward to their first show season with Junior. He’s been
an exceptional all around gelding and we are so happy to have him.
