For wrapping smaller interior trim elements, the carbon materials seem to be perfect for the job. I’ve tried many different materials and I always come back to 3M 1080; the Controltac adhesive and the Comply version 3 are amazing features of the vinyl that, for me as a one-man business, make even the toughest parts of the car, such as the roof and bumper, a lot easier to fit. I’ve used several colours and in particular the Gloss White has been well received with customers saying how amazing the shine looks. Ghais Ull-Din, G Starwraps We use Arlon PerformancePlus 4600LX on commercial, vans and cars, such as Audi, Mercedes and BMW, mainly for partial wraps on roofs etc. We’re very happy with the product; it goes on well and the air-release works well. Ashley Carr, Digital Revolution We use 3M IJ180Cv3 for full wraps on fleet vehicles, such as Transits and Sprinters. It’s good value for money, whilst providing good quality. It’s a straightforward material to use and the ‘bubble-free’ adhesive makes application much easier. As a result, wraps can be completed more quickly. Mike Wright, FSG Signs & Graphics 18 We use IJ380 mainly for full vehicle wraps, including colour changes to cars, vans and trucks, with many overprinted with graphics. We have found it to be the best material for the purpose. It’s the most conformable, gives excellent fitting, and its adhesion is less aggressive than other materials, enabling us to achieve the correct finish when complete. We chose Arlon Ultimate Premium Plus for its fantastic colour range, which is very unique. We first used it a few months ago and when our customer called in to see us recently the vehicle still looked as though it just left our unit. Both we and, most importantly, our customer are very happy with it.
