As the Premier of Prince Edward Island, I am pleased to welcome everyone to the 31st annual
Atlantic Craft Trade Show.
Prince Edward Island is honoured to act as host province for this prestigious event which attracts
thousands of visitors involved with the craft and giftware sector.
I am extremely proud of Atlantic Canadian artisans and the impressive work they do creating the
most beautiful crafts in the world. The Atlantic Craft Trade Show is a tremendous opportunity for
those in the industry to learn from counterparts in other provinces; develop new business and marketing contacts; and celebrate the successes of their industry.
The Government of Prince Edward Island understands the cultural and economic value of crafts
that are produced locally and regionally. Our Government is committed to the continued growth
and success of this industry. Through important events such as the Atlantic Craft Trade Show, the
Studio Tour, Prince Edward Island Craft and Giftware Buyers’ Market and the Craft Education
Bursary, we continue to provide ongoing support. The Province, through Prince Edward Island
Business Development Inc., also offers programs and services designed to support and enhance this
evolving industry.
