HOW TO APPLY FOR A
POSITION ON TALENT ED

1. Visit our website at: www.springfield.k12.or.us
2. Click on Jobs
3. Click on: Applicants get started now Click Here
4. Click Apply next to the job you would like to apply for under Job Listings

5. You will see the job description for the position you are interested in. To apply for the job,
click Apply for this position.
6. You will be given three options (see illustration, pg 3):
Option 1: Create a new account: Read the instructions, then click on Create New Account and Apply
Option 2: Sign in to an existing account: Enter in your TALENT ED username and password. This
option can only be used if you already have an existing TalentEd account.
Option 3: Transfer your EdZapp account over to TalentEd: Read the instructions, then enter your
EDZAPP email, password and state. If you do not have an existing EdZapp account, or don’t
remember your EdZapp email or password, this option will not work. If this is the case, please
refer to option 1.

For options 2 and 3, please follow the instructions given and continue to #7. For option 1, please
do the following:
Option 1- Step A: Create a new account – Complete your profile information, then click save.
Option 1- Step B:
You will be guided through your application. TalentEd will require you to SAVE & CONTINUE the
following sections: Cover Letter; Personal Information; Education; Job Skills; Language Skills;
Employment History; Background Information; Highly Qualified Status; Fingerprint & FingerprintBase; Payroll Deduct Consent Form; Cultural Competency; References; Attachments; and Review.
**BE SURE TO CLICK SAVE AND CONTINUE FOR EACH SECTION**

IMPORTANT: If you are a current Springfield School District employee, you can apply as an
Internal Candidate (Internal candidates do not include substitutes or temporary employees).
Simply click the Internal link in the top right hand corner and follow the instructions.
If applying as an Internal Candidate, you will be asked to follow the instructions for the section below.
7. Once you complete and submit your entire application, it will be submitted electronically to the Human
Resources department. Please contact Human Resources at (541) 726-3203 if you need further assistance.
