PURPOSE AND MISSION
The S3DA program fosters, educates and guides youth (along with
their parents) that are interested in the Next-Step from the basic
introduction of archery using real equipment that provides a life time
of opportunities in archery.
PROGRAM DESIGN
S3DA was designed to use a standardized
set of rules that will follow the archer from
the 3rd grade to adulthood.
S3DA rules are standardized with USCA
and ASA rules.
S3DA equipment requirements are all
inclusive. There are no special targets or
equipment limitations that exclude
manufacturers.
HOW DO SCHOOLS/CLUBS BECOME INVOLVED?
To become a fully certified S3DA Club please follow these steps:
Complete the following registration forms and submit them to S3DA at the address below:
“Scholastic 3D Archery Club Registration and Remittance”
“Scholastic 3D Archery Club Individual Membership Registration”
Send at least one adult through the S3DA Basic 3-D Instructor Certification Course
Contact S3DA to apply for available grants
After your S3DA Club has received its certification your Club can order archery equipment
from the S3DA equipment at substantial discounts

EQUIPMENT FOR S3DA
Pins: Any type of bow (except crossbows) using fixed pin
sights (no limit to the number of sight pins), peep sight
apertures, no magnification in the peep or the sight, one front
stabilizer (not to exceed 12”), one set of back bar stabilizer(s)
(not to extend more than 6” to the rear of the riser) and any
type of release, including fingers.
Traditional: Any recurve, long bow, or Genesis, Mini Genesis,
or Genesis Pro without sights, where the string is released
from the fingers. A front stabilizer measuring 12” or less may
be used, but no back bars or counter balances may be used.
Any type of arrow rest may be used but clickers and/or draw
checks are not allowed. Competitors may elect to aim by
using a consistent anchor point on their face or neck and
“walking” the string, or they may elect to touch the nock of the
arrow with their index finger and “walk” their face to aim, but
they may not do both simultaneously.

· Team Classification
Teams are comprised of the best five shooter scores from the school/club that the student attends. It does not matter what
gender the student is. There is no limit to how many students can be registered on a team. They must all attend the same
school/club.
· Scoring -Overall Scores are determined from the accumulation of points from 20 known distance targets.
