All-School Thanksgiving Food Drive begins
Following a visit to Wayside
Food Programs next week,
Middle School Student
Government will kick off our
annual All-School
Thanksgiving Food Drive.
Collection boxes will be
delivered to homestations/
homerooms. This year the
priority is healthy kids food
including protein sources
(beans, peanut butter and
tuna), boxed pasta, and
grains (rice, quinoa, lentils).
The sixth grade will deliver the food to Wayside on Tuesday, November 24. More
information to follow. Guest Rider Policy on School Busses
We have recently received requests for students to be ‘"guest riders" on the school
bus. Middle School Assistant Amy Fawcett needs to hear from each child’s parent,
either by phone or a signed note, in order to approve such requests.
If a regular bus rider requests to have more than one guest rider (for a birthday
party, sleepover, etc.), we ask that the parent contact Divya at least three days in
advance to work out details. Please see page 24 of the Handbook for further
information.
Middle School Ski Program 2015-2016
For more than 20 years, Waynflete’s Middle
School Ski Program has given our students the
opportunity to get outside and build friendships
on winter Wednesdays. Avid skier and veteran
Middle School teacher Betsy Langer
encourages students to build self-reliance
through the exciting challenges presented by a
day on the slopes.

The graduating class at the Baccalaureate Lunch, June 6, 1991.
In his address called "Bag of Possibles," Rev. Frederick Lipp said "A degree from
Waynflete simply attests to the fact you have more or less survived an adventure in the
creative wilderness. The possible bag inside your head is what took you here, brought
you back and sends you forth again...When the Bag of Possibles is empty, that's when
we begin to learn." (From Waynflete Magazine, Summer 1991, p. 10.)
