Located very near the historic fortified medieval town of Óbidos and only 60 minutes’ drive
from Lisbon. The course has been also placed in an extremely beautiful environmental
position. As the holes are played the golfer passes through pine trees and enjoys attractive views over a lagoon and across to the blue Atlantic Ocean. This is a true style of Links

One of the world’s great par 3 holes. If the wind is
against, a low drawn two iron works well. The green is
ideally shaped for running the ball down the green
contours. Long is better than short, even if you end up
chipping back from the bank behind the 10th green.
The green will test your putting skills and birdies will
be rare.

The finale what a fantastic hole! Again a draw around
the central island of one strategic pine is the best shot.
The green is raised set in a dune and will play at least
one club more than you think. If you hit the green the
severe slope from right to left will give a lot to think
about. Many games will turn completely around on this
outstanding finishing hole.
The 18th hole will never be forgotten by Barry Lane
during the Portuguese Open in 2005 when he arrived
on the Tee box with a commanding 2 stroke lead only
to shoot a dramatic 9 for this challenging last hole to
only finish the tournament 5th.

Aroeira Golf Course is set beside the south bank of the River, scarcely twenty minutes from
Lisbon. Aroeira is a course that perfectly combines the requirements of a championship
course whilst being set in beautiful surroundings.
Set in a 345 hectare estate very close to Caparica which has a long beach with 30 kilometres of white sand, Aroeira has become one of the most famous golf courses in the country
on the south bank of the river Tejo. On a clear day the Portuguese capital can easily be
seen from the tee of hole number 1.

AROEIRA II Golf course

This is an adjacent course to Aroeira I and presents a different style of golf for the player. Due
to the flat geographical nature of the land on which the fairways are laid the course is made
more challenging by well placed bunkers, some of which are of "pot" character. Water hazards
are well provided for by five strategic placed lakes. Using fairly fast large greens of Penn A2
type grass a golfer on each hole is given the choice of five 5 teeing levels to chose from
depending on their ability.

Ribagolfe I is called Blue course and Ribagolfe II is Green course.
Ribagolfe I and II, located near Santo Estevao, are set within a forest of cork oak trees with the
design making full use of the undulations of the site, providing many spectacular golf holes
across valleys and lakes.
Ribagolfe I has been created as a potential tournament venue and has already been described
as the Valderrama of Portugal.

THE ALGARVE, a mere two to three hours flight from most European capitals, has
been a magnet to many discerning golfers for almost three decades. Portugal’s
southernmost province is justly famous for its spectacular scenery along a fabulous
coastline. The main golf season is from late autumn to late spring. Winters are mild
and golfers from northern European countries can enjoy warm, sunny days and keep
their swings smooth at a time when their home courses are unplayable. Be warned,
however, that despite southern Portugal’s appealing sunshine statistics, rain does fall
from time to time and nearly all of it during the main golfing season. There are 35
beautifully tended golf courses.
In general, you will find that the Algarve, with its mild climate, reasonably priced
restaurants, breathtaking scenery, friendly people and excellent golf courses, all
combine to make it a memorable holiday.

Situated on the beach 5 minutes from Malaga airport the course is excellent for a game on your
last day if you have an evening flight.
This is the oldest course on the coast, built in 1925. The greens have shown a marked improvement in condition over the past few years. Most of the green are quite flat and easy to read with
exception of the 9th, 12th and 15 perhaps.
The hardness of the sand in the bunkers lets the course down a little – you'll notice that most of
the club players use their lob wedge from the traps around the green.

Located on striking cliffs and flanked by the impressive Teno Country Park, the Seve Ballesteros

holes are the par fours and in the second half the par threes require greater precision, particularly

Golf COSTA ADEJE
Golf Costa Adeje is surprising because it is superbly adapted to its surroundings. Pepe Gancedo
designed an unusual layout respecting the old farm terraces that slope down to the sea framed
by the original dry stone walls. With really beautiful views of the ocean, the island of La Gomera
and the rugged Adeje mountains, this unique golf course features 27 holes on wide greens and
obstacles such as gorges and lakes. In 2003, 9 more holes were added to Golf Costa Adeje. The
Los Lagos course is short, but technical challenge to the time bereft player. As with the championship course, the ocean views are astounding.
The pleasant and spacious Club House has large terraces and a central courtyard. An unusual

The original project of 27 holes was made by the famous designer Pepe Gancedo. But Manuel Piñero
was the person in charge turning the Golf del Sur into the only golf course on the Canary Islands with 3
courses after renewing the enlargement of the Links course in 2005.The morphology of the soil has a
remarkable influence on the features of each round. The presence of the sea and the impressive ravines
on the course, giving the player the opportunity to enjoy each visit made to Golf del Sur.
The fairways, wide and undulating, are dotted with many natural obstacles. The presence of various
water hazards is in clear contrast with the incredible volcanic sand bunkers protecting the greens.

Open in 1991, the Golf Yasmine is a real championship course. Designed by California golf architect
Ronald Fream, it is characteristic of his unique style with vast teeing areas, dramatic bunker shapes and
an Imaginative use of water. Modern construction technique have been applied using sand based
greens, and a fully automated irrigation system which covers greens, tees, and fairways. An extensive
drainage system ensures the course is maintained in the best possible condition all year round.
The course (Par 72), measures 6 162 meters from the back tees with four par 5`s and par 3`s. The
prevailing wind means that correct club selection is as important as shot execution.Well positioned jigsaw
bunkers, large stepped greens and undulating contours add to the demands required of the golfer. The

Suwan Golf & Country Club is a new course is just less than an hour drive from Bangkok. Surrounding
fruit orchards and rice fields along with the golf course’s hilly and challenging layout makes every hole
have its own unique character. More than most other Thailand golf courses there are many holes with
significant elevation changes where level fairways play up to built up and well guarded greens.
Several holes require long and straight tee shots when played from the back tees so as to take the strategically placed fairway hazards out of play. The tips play at over 7100 yards! Water or OB comes come in
to play on most holes, putting shot making accuracy at a premium.

PRESIDENT Country Club
Southeast Bangkok
The President Country Club is a classic Trent Jones Jr design of 36 holes. The course is surrounded by
rice paddies and has lots of migratory birds and other wildlife in abundance. Being slightly further from
Bangkok makes tee times easy to book on all but the busiest holiday weekends.
Each hole was designed to be distinct in approach from all the others. Fairways are wide, but undulating
and offer a variety of lies. The rough of wiry Bermuda grass, if found, often forces the golfer to play a less
aggressive lay-up shot. Water hazards come into play on about half of the holes and well positioned
bunkers, a Trent Jones trademark, surround the greens. Accurate shot-making will be well rewarded.
Greens run fast and true, but the player must be aware not to miss the subtle breaks found on almost
every putting surface.

RAYONG GREEN VALLEY

Set among rolling hills near the gulf of Thailand, Rayong Green Valley is one of the most
picturesque and popular golf courses in Pattaya.
Green Valley features an inspired design that makes full use of the natural layout to create an
enjoyable and testing round of golf for players at every level.
Rayong Green Valley is lodged on the side of a hill and thus takes its features from the large
rocky outcrops, boulders and native fauna that are featured in the local terrain. Bunkers have
been used very intelligently, inviting a good golfer to go for the drive over them while the
(experienced) lesser player has plenty of room to lay up. To walk the undulating fairways in this
glorious peaceful setting is to enjoy golf at its best. The greens vary from large to small, and this
is not a course to lose your concentration on.

PHOENIX Golf & Country Club
Pattaya
Phoenix Golf & Country Club, a Dennis Griffiths design, is set on wooded, rolling terrain. This
Pattaya golf course comprises three nines - Ocean, Lake and Mountain, and has magnificent
views of the surrounding mountains and the Gulf of Thailand. Large mango, eucalyptus trees
and flowering shrubs add color and give a natural feel to the layout.
Phoenix demands cautious shots on the fairways, but the greens are relatively easy with few
undulations. Compared to most other Pattaya golf courses, there is not much water, except on
the Lake nine. Hole 17 is a very though par four dogleg around the lake and requires accurate
shot making to achieve par.

Working with a spectacular, undulating natural topography, English born golf course architect
Desmond Muirhead has created one of Pattaya’s most interesting golf courses, as St Andrews
was built to replicate a Scottish links course. Located in Rayong, about 40 minutes from Pattaya and 1.5 hours from Bangkok, St. Andrews is accessible for golfers staying in either city.
The golf course offers an uncompromising challenge aimed at players with handicaps of 18 or
lower. Playing at over 7700 yards to a par 74, this is a tough course. St Andrews features
elevated tees and greens, tight landing zones, split elevation fairways, huge putting surfaces
and while difficult to accept for the true golfer, two par 6’s, over 800 yards each! The back nine
in particular has large elevation changes and views of the surrounding hillsides.

TIs the oldest golf club in Argentina. The course was built in 1892, at 1894 the first official golf match took

This course is situated in the locality of morón, 30 km from the city of Buenos Aires, along the west highway. The "Pingüinos club del campo" was created as a polo club at the beginning of the century. The next
step was to build a golf course. It was designed by Reartes, who wanted to give the holes various out of
bound tees and to take advantage of the field, embellishing it for the players' pleasure. Recently, in 1992,
the 18 holes were inaugurated and the remodeling continued until reaching its current condition. Today,
