Your Vote Counts!
Monroe Award
During the festival, viewers at each block of
shorts will vote for their favorite films. Each
winner will advance to the final block on
Sunday night, where a panel of judges will
select the Best of the Fest.
The winner of each block is presented with a
Monroe Award and a cash prize.
The Theater
The Monroe is the Love Your Shorts award
presented to the winning films. It is a custommade piece of metal art named after our Lake
Monroe.
Filmmakers Panel
The Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center
dates to 1923 when it was originally named
the Milane Theater. The building is one of a
few historical theaters remaining in Florida and
was added to the National Register of Historic
Places in 2001. The theater seats 585 and the
architectural style is masonry vernacular.
