Youth Running for Fun Doctors Nova Scotia’s Youth Running for Fun program is a free, school-based running program designed to teach youth the fundamentals of running in a fun and non-competitive atmosphere. The program is open to any elementary, junior or high school in Nova Scotia. The running program coordinator helps each school tailor the program to meet its students’ needs and get the kids up and running, literally. School visits take place when possible to support the coaches and motivate the runners. Handbooks for coaches and runners are provided as well as water bottles for all participants at the conclusion of the program. The program is offered at no cost to the school or students.
