Cutting sheet materials in a smaller workshop: the challenge
Smaller operations have traditionally cut sheet materials with table saws or even hand-held saws and trestles. These approaches
have serious limitations: both require extensive floor space, cutting larger sheets on a table saw typically involves two or more
operators working together, successful cutting of thin, flexible materials is challenging, and the safety risks associated with portable
and table saws are well known.
While many such users know that the solution to all of these problems is a vertical panel saw, these machines have typically been
too expensive and bulky for smaller operations.
The answer: the Zapkut ZM range
Sagetech's Zapkut ZM moving-column vertical panel saw has been designed specifically for the smaller operation requiring a
compact, safe and highly economical sheet-cutting solution.
Zapkut ZM vertical panel saws are available in three sizes, all of which make fast, accurate sheet cutting a simple, one-person job.
No more wrestling with rails and trestles and no more horizontal handling of heavy, unwieldy sheets: just lift the sheet onto the
vertical frame, engage cross or rip cut as required, set the sawhead to the required dimension, and cut.
Designed and manufactured using state-of-the-art technologies and processes, Zapkut ZM saws are robust and hard wearing. They
deliver smooth, accurate cutting with excellent cut quality on a wide range of non-ferrous materials, including timber and timberbased products, acrylics, aluminium composites and solid aluminium.

All Koolkut vertical panel saws are supplied with a twelve month warranty on all parts, and a twelve month parts and labour warranty on the
sawhead motor. The sawhead motor warranty can be extended to three years by returning the warranty card, correctly completed.
Delivery: To avoid damage and to reduce transit costs, the machines are supplied crated with the frame disassembled. This also makes manual off-loading
possible, and allows the Koolkut to be installed in even restricted access areas. All Koolkuts are pre-aligned during manufacture, but final
alignment trimming may be required during installation to optimise cut accuracy.
Sagetech can put you in contact with an engineer who can carry out the
installation for you, but cannot be party to any contract.
