Character Corner
TRUSTWORTHINESS
Being trustworthy is a very important
character trait. If people don’t trust you, it’s
really hard for them to like you. Just let the
truth and don’t get caught up in lies.

Hey there Mustangs! Back again this week to cover the last band concert of the 2013-2014 school year. The concert took
place on May 9, 2014 and they also premiered the 2014-2015 school year Brass.
The concert band really enjoyed playing
for all the people who came to watch the
concert and they played many different
songs, including: “La Flauta Fiesta”,
“Jalapeno Percussion”, “Round Dance”,
Suite From Bohemia”, “Valley Forge”,
“Let the Flag of Freedom Wave”, and
“Procession for a New Day”. Those were
just the songs that took up the concert
portion. The 2014 Brass organization
came out and surprised everyone. They
played many different songs as well,
including: “Thriller”, “Paint It Black”,
“Get off My Cloud”, “Barbara Ann”, “Livin’
La Vida Loca”, and “Hawaii Five-0”, and
during “Barbara Ann” the seniors got to
do their last set of head-chops as a part
of the brass. The brass also sang the
schools Alma Mater and brought the
entire audience to tears with their
moving voices. For all of the seniors who
are graduating this year, this concert
was a very bittersweet concert for them
and they were all glad to have gotten the
chance to play for the Mustang Marching
Brass, also in the second half of the band
concert the Mustang Marching Brass got
to preview the new marching cadence for
everyone who attended the concert.

This is the last Mustanger of the year. So this week the Choirs 2013-2014 year is getting
summed up. They did an outstanding year this year, like always.
The choir had a great year this year. They had a very busy schedule though. They did a
dinner theatre, a winter concert, recorded for TV 44, and had a concert last Friday to
acknowledge the seniors that are in choir. The Royal Blues (Advanced Choir) even went to
Kings Island. Hopefully next year they will have as good as a year as they did this year or even
better.
The final concert, celebrating the seniors.
The choir singing at Walmart after
they were recorded at TV 44.
The choirs first concert of the year
which was a dinner theatre.
