The process of managing categories as strategic business units, using
a customer-centric method of driving sales and profitability in our
stores. Bozzuto’s uses the five Category Management Tactics for
driving each strategic business unit: Assortment, Pricing, Promotions,
Shelving (Planograms) and Supply.

Opportunity Buys (Daily and Weekly)
• Opportunity Buys are offers that come to
us from a manufacturer that reflect a deep
cut in cost, and must be booked within a
short time frame. These are
communicated every day and every
week. These are excellent buys and will

• The Meat Marketing Department will work

weeks prior to promotional ship dates to allow ample time to sell,
