So if you are interested in being on the committee, have a chat to any of the present committee members, or contact the secretary. After many years as junior coach, Kim has handed over the reigns to Jacque McKenzie, who will commence soon. Jacque is a triathlete herself and very interested in developing the junior program. She will be assisted by her father, Peter McKenzie who is a triathlon coach. Jacque will be contacting all the present juniors. Jacque and Peter will both be present at the club duathlon this Sunday so come down and meet them. Kim has done a great job and the club needs to thank her for her dedication and commitment. Wayne, Jess and Julie Gold Coast Luke Harrop Triathlon and Billeting This is an extract from an email from Rachel and Sam Ladd who billeted one of the elites who were looking for accommodation. "We happened to be down at the Goldy this weekend to watch a friend race in the Sat ITU Elite Women’s race & stayed on to watch the Sun events & spotted a few Noosa Tri Club Members competing. Anyhow, the Elite athlete we watched yesterday was our South African Billet “Carlyn Fischer” from the Mooloolaba Tri week & whilst she was unwell & didn’t have a great day out on the course it was still wonderful to support her & watch the other amazing Elite athletes go by. Our Billet experience was so wonderful that we wanted to Thank the Club for having tee’d it up and we look forward to following Carlyn’s upcoming races & have all our fingers & toes crossed for her to make the 2016 Sth African Olympic team, all in all a truly brilliant experience and along with the friendly nature of the Noosa Tri Club this summer has been a fantastic introduction to the sport for our kids." Cairns Ironman and 70.3 June 6th What a great day for Noosa Triathletes up at Cairns in the 70.3 and Ironman. Everyone got across the finish line which of course is the first box to tick.
