Leaders-In-Training (L.I.T.): 2 Weeks - Grade 10 Counselors-In-Training (C.I.T.): 4 Weeks - Grade 11 Counselors-In-Training is our ramped up version of the Leaders-In-Training program. Each participant will go through a mock interview requiring references to participate. This interview and application process is designed solely to prepare and familiarize each member with a traditional hiring process. The Leaders-In-Training program offers a portion of the traditional Camp experience while offering additional off-camp trips, leadership seminars, service projects, American Red Cross First Aid and CPR training, and staff mentoring. Once our C.I.T.’s arrive on camp they receive leadership training and seminars, American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, in-cabin experiences with our younger campers, volunteer and community service opportunities, and some amazing off-camp trips. This combination of activities is designed to offer a chance for each camper to share camp memories with close friends while beginning to build the confidence and skills needed for their professional futures. Our most famous off-camp trip is our C.I.T. Appalachian Trail hike. This trip prepares each participant for group planning and leadership like no other.
