Chaplain’s Corner
Term 2 was a great term here at Mano. It saw the establishment of friendship club on Mondays, which is running throughout Ter m 3 in the
OSHC room on Monday lunchtimes. Friendship club is a lunch-time activity which is 100% voluntary – it operates on a drop-in drop-out
basis. It is primarily for students who are struggling to find friends to play with out in the yard as well as helping students develop social and
friendship skills through play. Friendship club is available for all Middle and Senior students, and there is a wide-range of activities to be
involved in. Moreover, students are encouraged and supported to interact and play with each other, which helps them to build real world
skills. I have found that providing a safe place for the students has helped them in their engagement at school. Besides, it is always great fun
to have a game with them.
Thanks for your support throughout Term 2, and I look forward to working alongside you this Term 3 as we journey with and sup port the
students here at Mano.
All the best for Term 3,
Jesse Winter - Chaplain
