This great room was once home to the
Lawrence family. Even after so many
years the grand interior details still remain
placed with care. The stones that rise
on the fireplace were collected from the
wandering Aliso creek, every stained glass
window was commissioned by a local
artist, the countless French doors open
up to a dramatic dancing tiled fountain,
all this makes the hospitality of the Grand
Salon inviting, private and comfortable.

ambiance, this small garden area is
lovingly copied after a charming trellis
found along the coast of Italy. A favorite
part of visiting memory lane is that it
brings back where small details were
collected from the Lawrence’s early
travels. A local artisan recreated the
ornate ironwork railing, and today
contains the space that is used for staging
many intimate events.
This little corner of paradise is a
romantic setting for a small celebration,
an unforgettable party or an exclusive

The Barn
When you look at the roof, the ceiling
beams, wood siding painted with red
patina and you know immediately that this
is a wonderfully unique event space.
This is Rancho’s original barn and was
once covered in vines, weathered by wind,
rain and sun. We recognized that this
historical building, over time, was crafted
by nature and worth saving, it has been
renovated carefully and thoughtfully,
keeping all of its old charm intact.
Photographers use The Barn for print and
magazine work and designers have crafted
special events including dinners, wine
and beer tastings, meetings, seminars, and
many other intimate events.

Imagine this … a room full of people
exchanging glances and speaking quietly,
a room filled with glamour and history
and a white tuxedo. If this scene sounds
familiar then you have just entered Rick’s
Café, the inspired “old gin joint” from
the infamous Humphrey Bogart movie,
Casablanca.
The ceiling fans, the comfortable
banquettes and the tables for sitting and
dining add to the sharing of special time
and space with old and new friends. The
small detail additions that were added over
the years help keep the original feeling of
our founder Rick Lawrence alive, and his
love for this old classic movie. We hope it
continues to inspire all who share a special
event or moment inside this quaint Café.

demonstrate ways by which all can make a positive contribution to the environment.

RLLWF operates from the grounds of the beautiful Rancho Las Lomas located in the
foothills of Orange County, California. The property encompasses over 50 acres in the
midst of urbanization. The unique setting creates an ideal opportunity to attract visitors
while promoting wildlife protection and education.
