While there is an “In-house” version on HealthPort that allows you to connect to many Citrix based applications, this document is designed for those clients utilizing the RAP portal outside of the health system on a non-NSLIJHS network (such as your home or your office.)The current link to the RAP portal is: https://rap.northshorelij.com/ What are the different Access methods? There are three different access methods: 1. Universal ID and Password- The Universal ID and Password is accessible to all NSLIJHS employees 2. PIN and Token Code- You must submit a request for an RSA token to access the expanded applications available. 3. Network Connect- You must a health system provided laptop and wish to work remotely as if in the office connected to all applications by launching them from the desktop. You will also need to request an RSA token as well as Network Connect access. What Operating Systems will it work on? The RAP portal will work on four operating systems at the time of this writing. Each operating system has specific software that must be installed in order for full functionality of the site. If you work in a physician’s office or have your own personal IT person, please ensure that you have the LOCAL ADMINISTRATIVE PASSWORD in order for the software to install correctly. If the software is not installed with administrative privileges, most applications will not work. 1. 2. 3. 4. Windows XP Windows 7 Windows Vista MAC OSX What browsers will work? Windows: o Windows XP, Vista and 7 all require Internet Explorer 6.0 or better. Macintosh: o MAC OSX requires Safari 2.0 or better. Created by Nicole Hock Page 3 What software is needed? Software is required for full functionality of the applications and local administrative privileges are required to install the software. Windows Clients Windows XP- Software is located on the RAP portal Windows Vista and Windows 7 all require Citrix software Version XenApp Plugin 11.0.150. If you do not have this version, please contact us. All newer versions of XenApp do experience performance issues and version 11.0.150 has found to be the most stable. Macintosh Clients MAC OSX- requires Citrix for many applications. The compatible version MACICA_OSX can be found here. Citrix based applications will launch a window that appears as below. Manual Additions: For Windows Vista and 7 Add https://rap.northshorelij.com to the Trusted Sites 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. The pin should be a total of 4-8 numbers which will be used in addition to the numbers displayed o the RSA token to authenticate. Your PIN is your personal identification number and should not be shared. Enter Your Universal ID and the numbers displayed on your SecureID Token. Create your new PIN of 4-8 numbers and confirm Next you will be brought back to the home screen if your PIN creation was successful. You MUST WAIT for the next TOKEN CODE number to display on the RSA Secure ID. If you do not wait, your account will lock. Note: The PIN+TokenCode should not be written with the “+” sign. Such as: 1234741852 Created by Nicole Hock Page 5 Once you have successfully logged in, you will be brought to the WEB BOOKMARKS page. Web Bookmarks This screen shows the applications that you have permission to access through the Remote Access Portal. To know that you have successfully connected on a Windows based operating system, you will see an icon called the WSAM located next to your clock in your toolbar. From the Web Bookmarks you can launch each application which will open in a separate browser. NOTE: Printing through any application that launches a Citrix window is not permissible due to HIPAA compliance. An example of a Citrix based application would be Sunrise Clinical Manager or Invision. From the HOME button you can access your Web Bookmarks Meetings are for those that require a Meeting password to attend. (This access is granted by approvals. A request will need to be submitted.) Where NETWORK CONNECT and WINDOWS SECURE APPLICATION MANAGER (WSAM) can be launched. Here you can customize your Web Bookmarks page, uninstall the software required for the Remote Access Portal functionality (Network Connect and WSAM) and use the Advanced features. The Advanced features are used to: Clear the Cookies created during a session in Internet Explorer Delete saved passwords stored with RAP Configure Remote SSO* Created by Nicole Hock Page 6 *Configuring Remote SSO Should you change your Universal ID’s password while in the office, when launching RAP remotely you will be prompted to authenticate with each application. This is because RAP remembers your last password for you and it will need to be changed within the portal. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Go to PREFERENCES Then ADVANCED At the bottom of the screen select CONFIGURE REMOTE SSO On the next screen select the CitrixProdSSO field and click CONFIGURE Enter your NEW Universal ID PASSWORD that was changed Click on SAVE CHANGES 7. Log in with your Universal ID and PIN+Tokencode. Once connected, this allows you to work as if you are in the office with only one minor difference, network drives will not automatically map. {To work around this, created a shortcut on your desktop to the full path of the network drive that you wish to connect to remotely.} 1. After signing into RAP, select the CLIENT APPS button 2. Next to NETWORK CONNECT click on START 3. Next you will receive a message to terminate your WSAM connection. Answer YES Created by Nicole Hock Page 7 4. The Network Connect window will appear showing your connection. Click on HIDE. 5. A new gold padlock icon will appear in your toolbar to show that you have successfully connected. 6. To disconnect, right click on the Padlock and select SIGN OFF. TIP: If you will be using primarily Network Connect, after the first successful login, create a shortcut on your desktop which will allow you to authenticate with your Universal ID and PIN+Tokencode and bypass the additional steps. To do this, go through Windows Explorer and browse to the path: C:\Program Files\Juniper Networks\Network Connect 7.1.0. There you can create a shortcut on your desktop by: 1. Right clicking the file dsNetworkConnect.exe 2. Select SEND TO 3. Select DESKTOP (create shortcut) 4. To end the session right click on the gold padlock icon Created by Nicole Hock and select SIGN OFF. Page 8
