Ravi Kanwar won the toss for Nokia mobiles and chose to bat first. Amit Verma got the break through in
the first over and with this started the slide of Nokia Mobiles Inning. Sushil Joshi was holding his end
while wickets were falling at the other end at regular intervals. The inning of Nokia Mobiles came to an
end after 19.4 overs at the score of 72 runs wherein Swapnil made the highest contribution of 20 not out.
Amit Verma took three wickets conceding only 11 runs from his 5 overs and also bowled a maiden over.
ICICI Bank started the run chase with a bang when Sachin Mehta hit 5 boundaries in one over of Soumya
but his stump were rattled when he tried to slog the sixth delivery as well. ICICI Bank completed the
formality in just 8.3 overs to win the match with ease.

HCL Technologies Vs. Kingfisher Airlines
Ashwini won the toss for his side and openers provided a dream start by putting 93 runs on the board
from just 11.4 overs. Ajay Kumar not only broke this partnership but also took two more wickets applying
breaks to the scoring rate. Sadiq took three wickets while Tarun Sharma chipped in with two wickets and
restricted HCL Technologies to the score of 148 runs only. HCL Technologies scored only 55 runs in the
last 14 overs losing 7 wkts and this come back by Kingfisher Airlines showed that their team fought well
after being thrashed early in the inning.
HCL Technologies came back in the match as they took four quick wickets (Sukanta & Yogesh took two
wkts each). Prayas & Sayad shared 67 runs partnership to bring back the things on track but Tanmay
dismissed Sayed & Vikram got himself run out needlessly and as a result match went out of Kingfisher
clutches. Sukanta removed the tail and HCL Technologies won the match by 26 runs.

Microsoft Vs. HCL Infosystems
HCL Infosystems lost both his openers on the score of 17 runs when R. Mahendran won the toss and chose
to bat first. Wickets kept falling at regular intervals and HCL Infosystems team was bowled out for 114
runs wherein Sandeep took three wickets while Sumit Saluja & Nitin Verma chipped in with two wickets
each.
M. Krishnan got an early break through when he trapped Mohan in front of the wickets in his first over
but Sanddeep & Devender added 39 runs for the second wicket. Microsoft strengthened their position
with 65 runs partnership for the third wicket between Sandeep & Sumit and looked like a cake walk for
Microsoft. S. N. Mohanty was introduced to the attack and he did the trick by taking the wicket of
Sandeep. After one delivery he trapped Sandeep Kumar and Sumeet Saluja got himself run out in order to
take the strike. Charanjeet conceded 2 runs in his next over but took the wicket of Bharat Nagpal while
Nitin Mehra was found short of crease when he tried to take a cheeky single. S. N. Mohanty took a wicket
on first and third delivery to bring a twist in the match as now Microsoft required 5 runs to win with 1
wkt remaining. Microsoft was reduced to 110 for 9 wkts from a healthy position of 108 for 2 wkts. Last
man Vinod hit a boundary to level the score while Rakesh lofted the ball over midwicket to bring victory
for Microsoft.
S. N. Mohanty was declared Reebok Outperformer of this match for his superb bowling efforts and
bringing this match to exciting finish.

A surprise decision came from BSES Delhi as Ajit Chaudhary decided to field on a batsmen friendly
wicket. Nawal Singh got an early break through but Tauseef & Rajneesh added 102 runs for the second
wicket from 12.4 overs to lay the foundation for the big total. Later Raj & Rizwan enabled their team to
put 180 runs on the board.
BSES suffered a big blow when Ranjan Malik disturbed the castle of Ajit Chaudhary and with this opened
the flood gates of BSES and their entire team was bowled out for 75 runs in 16.5 overs. Tauseef after
batting well took three wickets whereas Sumit, Rajneesh & Kanwar Sing Gill took two wickets each.

HT started their inning cautiously after winning the toss but N. Bhatnagar got the breakthrough in the 7th
over by dismissing Praveen Mathur. K.N. Bhatt and Tara Chand then added 97 runs for the 2nd wicket to
take the score to 127 runs from 20 overs. Utkarsh Gautam not only provided the breakthrough but also
took 2 more wickets to restrict HT to a chase able score of 154 runs.
Mitsui lost an early wicket but N. Bhatnagar & Utkarsh added 29 runs for the second wicket while N.
Bhatnagar & Anil added 28 runs for the 3rd wkt. After this wickets kept falling at regular intervals and as
a result HT Media won the match by 31 runs.

Amit Verma had no hesitation to bat first when he called correctly but got a setback when Varun Kohli
trapped Kamal on the 3rd delivery. Sachin Mehta went in and he along with Sachin Bradoo shared 54 runs
partnership for the 2nd wkt to stabilize the situation. Sachin Mehta was dropped on his individual score of
30 runs and he made the most of it by adding 46 runs and 58 runs for the 3rd and 4th wkt partnership
respectively. Sachin Mehta went on to score a hundred after being dropped once again on his score of 91
runs. Due to century by Sachin Mehta, ICICI was able to score 179 from their allotted 25 overs.
Ashish and Himanshu started the reply with 30 runs partnership for the opening wicket but Ashu Kumar
not only dismissed both the openers, he also bowled number 3 batsman reducing Airtel to 54 for 3 wkts.
Akshay Dhup sealed the match in favour of ICICI with 3 wkts to his credit. Naveen Zutshi & Varun Kohli
tried their level best to make a match of it but in the end Airtel lost the match by 27 runs.

HCL Tech. had a decent start of 41 runs when their captain won the toss and chose to bat first. Both
openers and two down batsman were back in pavilion by the time score reached 61 runs. Ashwani &
Nikhil shared 60 runs partnership in 8.4 overs to put pressure on Wipro team but they bounced back to
bowl out HCL Tech. team on the score of 154 runs with a ball to spare.
Wipro lost early wickets and were soon looking down the barrel with 6 batsmen back in pavilion as
scoreboard showed 51 runs after 11.4 overs. Prashant & Shivalik came to the rescue of their team with
40 runs partnership from 4 overs only to bring the asking rate back to 6 runs per over. Later Prashant
added 29 runs for the 8th wkt partnership with Vir Singh and it looked that they will win the match for
Wipro but Tanmay gave this match a new twist as he bowled Prashant while Vir Singh was run out. Wipro
required 32 runs from last 29 balls with their last wicket on the crease. Digamber & Ivon added 23 runs
but Ashwani bowled Digamber with still 7 deliveries to be bowled and won the match for his side.

wkt partnership. Later Tarun Bajaj contributed 33 runs but undefeated partnership for the 8th wicket
between Sanjay & Sandeep added 52 runs from 5.3 overs enabling Microsoft to put 186 runs on the
board.
Aegis-BPO started with a bang and kept the run rate at more than 8 runs per over despite the fact that
their top 6 batsmen were back in pavilion. Prashant & Akhil added 45 runs for the 7th wkt partnership
while Anand Negi came to blast 17 runs off 8 deliveries to win the match for his side with one over to
spare.

Xchanging lost Vijender early but Tausif & Rajneesh added 68 runs from 7.3 overs when their captain
chose to bat first on winning the toss. Xchanging lost the initiative as their inning tumbled to 163 all out
from 22.5 overs when Rajeev Trehan took 6 wickets.
Rajeev & Parakh added 33 runs for the opening wicket while Parakh & Vinay put on 62 runs for the 2nd
wkt and it looked that FCS will win the match with ease. One bad shot by Vinay changed the complete
situation while Parakh blocked one end consuming too many deliveries. Wickets started to fall at regular
intervals and as a result inning of FCS folded at 147 runs.

HP showed lot of sportsman spirit by refusing to take the walk-over when HT Media Ltd. reported on the
ground after 45 minutes. HT Media was penalized for 10 overs and was allowed to bat for 15 overs while
HP would chase the target in 25 overs.
HT Media won the toss and chose to bat first, Tara Chand & Manoj started with a bang scoring @ 8 runs
per over. Arjun came in and thrashed 51 runs off 23 deliveries to enable his side post 138 runs from 15
overs.
HP lost Vivek Dwivedi at the score of 23 runs but Santokh & Sunil Pandita added 72 runs for the 2nd wkt
partnership and later Sunil Pandita & Jitender ensured victory for HP by sharing 43 runs undefeated
partnership with 4.1 overs to spare.

Headstrong Vs. Aricent Technologies
Aricent decided to make the first use of wicket when they won the toss. They lost Vidhur early while
Amit was making most of the runs, soon Amit was also bowled by Shafiq and then Yashpal Bisht sent Jalaj
& Praveen back to the pavilion restricting Aricent to 62 for 4 from 13 overs. After the drinks Arun (51
n.o.) & Kaustab (47 n.o.) not only steadied inning but made quick 91 undefeated runs from 12 overs and
put 153 runs on the board.
Amit Gulia provided the break through in the first over itself when Shafiq was caught behind on the last
ball. Rajesh & Suhel added 75 runs for the 2nd wkt partnership after Rajesh was dropped on the score of
21 runs. Jalaj not only broke this dangerous looking partnership but dismissed both the set batsmen.
From 81 for 1 wkt, Headstrong was reduced to 90 for 4 wkts. Yashpal Bisht stood at one end and kept the
scoreboard moving. Headstrong required 29 runs from last 5 overs with 4 wkts in hand, Yashpal & Manish
Sharma made 27 runs for the 7th wkt but Yashpal got out trying to hit a six as winning shot. On the first
ball of last over, Manish hit a boundary and entered the quarter final stage with 3 wkts victory.

DHC had a disastrous start when they won the toss and chose to bat first. Both the opening bowlers of
Adobe got a wicket in their first over. Sumit & Kuldeep added 42 runs for the 3rd wkt to steady the inning
while Kuldeep & Vikrant added 24 for the 4th wkt. Adobe came back in the match when they had reduced
DHC to 125 for 7 after 20 overs but 35 runs partnership between Roshan & Mukesh in 3.3 helped DHC to
post a formidable total of 175 runs.
Adobe too lost an early wicket but Ramneek & Madhur brought their team on right track with 31 runs
partnership. Adobe had the match in their grip when Manirup & Raman shared 49 runs partnership in 6.5
overs to put 108 runs on the board from 17 overs. Manirup threw away his wicket when experienced Anil
Sharma deceived him in flight and soon had Raman caught at long-off to provide a double break. Sumit
Dalal wrapped up the tail and DHC entered quarter finals defeating Adobe by 27 runs.

runs in 5.4 over. Shailendra was unlucky to miss his half century but added 39 runs for the 2nd wicket
with Mahesh. Lower order batsmen could not contribute much and as a result AAI could score only 157
runs from their allotted 25 over. Yogeswar Rai Bowled superbly to take four wickets conceding only 28
runs.
Sumer and Sumit started the run chase with the positive frame of mind to add 28 runs for the opening
wicket and later Sumer and Vineet added 32 runs for the 2nd wicket. 2 wickets by Mahesh and 2 run outs
change the scenario in favor AAI. Though Vipluv Sharma tried his best but his efforts went in vain when
Rajeev Gupta took 4 wickets to win the match for AAI.

Rajeev Gupta had no hesitation in deciding to bat first when Amit Verma called wrongly. AAI started off
well to score 27 runs but Ashu Kumar did the damage by dismissing top 3 batsmen and soon AAI was
struggling at 42 for 4 wkts when V. S. Chauhan & KIshore Kumar rescued their side with 49 runs
partnership for the 5th wkt. Later with the help of 20 runs from Bhupinder, AAI managed to score 125
runs from allotted 25 overs. Sachin Bradoo took 2 wkts while Amit Verma bowled economically to take 1
wkt only.
Gaurav & Kamal (Super Sub) started the run chase with 36 runs partnership while Kamal and Sachin

Headstrong chose to field first and this decision paid rich dividends as both the openers were back in
pavilion by the time score reached 11 runs. Prashant & Mohit helped their side to recover from early
dismissals by adding 57 runs for the 3rd wkt partnership. Apart from Anand Negi who contributed 27 runs,
no other batsman could handle steady bowling attack of Headstrong. In the end Aegis-BPO could manage
to score just 143 runs from their allotted 25 overs when Mohd. Shafiq took 3 wkts while Sudeept &
Yashpal chipped in with 2 wkts each.
Headstrong too lost 2 quick wkts but Mohd. Shafiq and Suhel Anwar added 75 runs for the 3rd wkt
partnership to bring their side on winning track while Mohd. Shafiq & Anurag Varshney ensured that their
team march into the semifinals with undefeated 47 runs partnership for the 6th wkt. Mohd. Shafiq played
an important role with both ball & bat whereas everyone applauded the efforts of Suhel Anwar too.
