Here’s What Happening at CAVE QUEST VBS.
Welcome to our VBS, where kids learn to follow Jesus! We are glad you have chosen this amazing adventure
that will help kids (and adults, too) begin to deepen their faith by exploring who Jesus is—the light of the
world! We have been praying for your child as well as your family and cannot wait to explore firsthand Jesus’
invitation to “follow me.”
Each day our kids will learn something new about God’s power!

CAVE QUEST Basics
1.
Children in TK or Kindergarten should be brought to their classroom in the main sanctuary building for their opening and gathering time. The main sanctuary building is the building on the hill with the really cool playground! Enter through the playground entrance and go to the floor above you to get to the kindergarten rooms. Take them directly to their classrooms.

Children in grades 1-5 will meet in the Family Life Center. Please enter through the main entrance and drop your child off at the inside doors. This building is next to the main sanctuary building and is separated by a road.

Doors will open at 8:45 a.m. on our first day together.

You will need to have an iron-on for a T-shirt, any color, your choice. Simply iron the transfer on to your shirt and wear your first day of VBS.

If you should have any questions about drop off or assignments, plan on speaking to the Cave Quest Crew member at the Registration Booth for more information.

When picking up your child, please park in the upper parking lot or Family Life Center lot.
Those children in the kindergarten classes will be picked up in the same room as drop off.
The doors to the Family Life Center will be closed until pick up time at 12 noon. Please plan on waiting in the narthex until the doors are opened.
At pick up, please be prepared to sign your child out on a sheet from the Cave Quest Crew Leader.
CD’s are available for purchase. Cost is $7.00. See the Cave Quest Crew Staff at the Registration Booth to purchase one.
Please plan on an early dismissal for TK/Kindergarten children on Friday, June 24 at 11:40 a.m. This allows our kindergartners to join in on the celebration at the Family Life Center at 11:45 a.m.
Children in grades 1-4 will be outside each day for Cave Quest Games. Please put sunscreen on prior to coming to VBS and wear sneakers to play on the hard pavement.
Don’t forget to say thank you to one of our many VBS crew volunteers. Without each of them—over 125—this awesome week wouldn’t be as awesome as it is!
Prayers Needed
You are requested to please pray for our journey on this Cave Quest exploration. We have over 125
volunteers and over 400 children who come to hear the Good News of Jesus throughout the week. Please
pray for our safety, our genuine love of each other, and for blessings to be poured out upon us!

You can help us have some fun during the week by having your child participate in our fun and interesting

Cave Explorer Tuesday Wear your cave/exploration gear & let’s see where our VBS adventures take us.
Wacky Wednesday Wear your crazy hats, crazy socks, crazy hairdos & let your hearts shine for Jesus.
Lots of Love Thursday Our lesson today is all about Jesus’ love. Wear your color red or cool hearts to remind us of His love.
Funtastic Friday Wear your VBS Cave Quest shirt & let’s celebrate all that God provided this week.
Our Mission Focus this Year: Samaritan’s Feet
We are excited to bring Samaritan’s Feet to our VBS this year. Samaritan’s Feet shares hope
with children in the U.S. and around the world by washing their feet, giving them a new pair
of shoes, and sharing a message of Hope and Love that Jesus Christ gives to us. Will you
join me in donating any size tennis shoe and a pair of socks? Your donations can be
brought the Family Life Center and/or the Main Sanctuary building during the
week of VBS.

Our Amazing 5th Graders
Ms. Heather Brown is once again leading our 5th graders on a week of mission work throughout
the area. Each day will be a little different and will include creating something to bring with them
as they visit different organizations. A complete list of day to day activities will be emailed shortly.
Ms. Brown will be accompanied each day by other adult volunteers well as a few of our youth
volunteers. We are so excited to see how God will bless this group throughout the week as well as
the people of our area.
Children should bring a water bottle each day with their name marked clearly on the outside.
We’ll provide a snack. Extra money will be needed on Friday as the kids head to Sports Connection.
Snacks at VBS
Here is our snack schedule for the week. We will make sure that every snack we have listed is peanut free and
comes from a peanut free facility. If there is an item listed that your child may not have due to food dye
allergies, gluten allergy or other allergy, please plan on sending a snack in for that day. Mark your child’s
name on the outside of the snack item and give to your child’s crew leader. We will also serve lemonade
and water each day.

It All Comes to an End!
Let’s gather together on Friday, June 24 in the Family Life Center at 11:45 a.m. to hear our kids
sing songs, watch a VBS video of our week together, and just say goodbye. Come and join us.
Children in the Kindergarten classes will be picked up from their classrooms at 11:40 a.m. by their
parents and brought to the celebration.
