All hail the citizens of Harvey oaks! Another week of Teacher/Staff appreciation is in the books. The professionals who nurture our kids each day were treated to a week of royal fun. It’s clear that our teachers/staff are beloved, because the outpouring of support from YOU was overwhelming! Once again, I was blown away by our amazing community of parents, grandparents, and other caring adults who make our school the best in Omaha. Every single item on the sign-up was quickly filled by the generous families of Harvey Oaks. From necklaces to plates & napkins, from yummy desserts to delicious appetizers, and even generous cash donations, you provided so many things that let the teachers/staff know how valued they are. Some people even make a physical sacrifice, deboning scalding-hot Costco rotisserie chickens and losing feeling in their fingertips. (Thank you Julie Kolpin and Cindy Stevens.) I always hesitate to list names in this thank you because I would be mortified if I forgot anyone! Please know how much the teachers appreciate the contribution that each and every one of you made, and they know who you are. And I appreciate it, too! Extra thanks to Anne Hughes for the incredible graphic design/layout and printing of the week’s brochure. If you didn’t see it, check the school website for the Husky Howler that went out on March 4th. Extra thanks also to Sarah Fischer, Talia Osborn, and Cindi Boudissa for the phenomenal decorations! They took the theme and ran with it, above and beyond expectations. And, as always, thank you to my mom and aunt for being with me every step of the way. l love this school so much and it’s largely because of the incredible families who contribute selflessly and create a supportive, collaborative environment with their generosity of time, talent and treasure. Until next year, Stacy Jolley Here are a couple pics of the “crown jewels” the teachers got to choose from on Friday morning. They loved “shopping” for the necklaces you provided!
