descent chosen by the fans votes. The NRL All Stars featured one player from
each of the 16 NRL teams as well as the Australian and New Zealand captains
and deputy captains. The game was won by the Indigenous team 16 to 12.

Marine Artist Brian Harris came to Australia from London in 1966. He first started
painting 17 years ago and has since had 28 solo exhibitions and won 200 art
awards including Victor Harbour and Royal Sydney Easter Show. Brian’s works
are exhibited in galleries throughout Australia and he belongs to the Australian
Society of Marine Artists, the International Society of Marine Painters, and he is
a Royal Queensland Art Society (Gold Coast) Committee Member. (Watercolour

and Damien, as a young man, did his apprenticeship as a shearer. This painting
is a memory of Clare Station near Ivanhoe in Western NSW. The painting
contains many funny cameos and these sum up for Damien the humour needed
