Have you heard the buzz? When it comes to the cultural arts, Sid Jacobson JCC is a
prominent center on Long Island connecting and engaging thousands of people year
round. It is with your support and partnership that enables us to find the the best of local,
national and international authors to discuss their latest novels, speakers to spotlight their
lives and discuss their stories and films which are certain to entertain and enlighten.
This past season we presented five bestselling and emerging authors in our ever popular
Author Breakfast and Book Signing Series. Plans are now underway for next year’s author
programs, including an expansion of our offerings to other local venues in both Nassau
and Suffolk Counties.
We write this letter to invite you to share in our successes and ask for your continued
support. Ticket sales alone do not cover the expenses to bring these first class offerings
to the community. Sponsorship support is vitally important. In addition to special benefits
awarded to sponsors (see enclosed card for sponsorship benefits and opportunities), this
season we have an added bonus. We are offering those who become a sponsor at the
Friends level (or higher) for the first time, a free reserved seating ticket(s) to our opening
season event featuring Kristin Hannah, author of the bestseller The Nightingale in her
exclusive Long Island appearance. Similarly, as an added bonus, a free reserved seating
