NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of the Bonnells Bay Progress Association Inc. will be held on
Wednesday 2nd September 2015 at the Bonnells Bay Youth & Community Centre, Fishery Point Road, Bonnells Bay commencing at
7:30pm. The Community Centre is located
opposite the Bonnells Bay Shopping Centre.
Interested residents are most welcome to attend this meeting and comfort is assured as
the Centre is air conditioned.
GUEST SPEAKER
We are pleased to announce that the Guest
Speaker for our September meeting will be
Superintendent Brett Greentree, Officer in
Charge of Lake Macquarie Local Area Command (LAC).
Superintendent Greentree
joined the NSW Police Force in 1995 and
was initially stationed as a Probationary Constable at Manly before moving to the City of
Sydney Patrol. In 1997 he transferred to Moree on General Duties before securing a
Criminal Investigation position in 2000.
Brett was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in
2003 and in 2004 was promoted to the rank
of Detective Sergeant. In 2005 / 2006 Brett
moved to Senior Positions at both Tweed
Heads and Tamworth.
In 2007 he was appointed to the rank of Detective Inspector at the Darling River Command in Bourke and in 2010 Brett transferred
to the Central Hunter Command in Maitland.
In 2012 he attained the rank of Superintendent as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Commissioner Specialist Operations and remained in
that position until mid 2013 when he moved
into his current role as the Commander of
Lake Macquarie LAC.
With that wealth of experience in Policing
Superintendent Greentree will be able to advise those attending the meeting of Police
Operations throughout Lake Macquarie LAC
and the Southlake area in particular.
Residents are aware that a new Police Station is on the way at Morisset as well as other
changes in regard to the operation of our Station.

BBYACC has been completed. Following
the construction of the Net Ball Courts and
the relocation of the Skate Park, the new
Children’s Playground is finished and is being enjoyed by the younger members of our
Community with positive feedback from parents.
