Huskers Return to Big Ten Semifinals for Rematch with Purdue
No. 21 Nebraska makes its second straight trip to the Big Ten Tournament semifinals when the Huskers
battle Purdue on Saturday at the Sears Centre Arena.
Tip-off between the No. 2 seed Huskers (23-7, 12-4 Big Ten) and No. 3 seed Boilermakers (22-8, 10-6)
is set for 4 p.m. in Hoffman Estates, Ill., with live national television coverage on the Big Ten Network.
Kevin Kugler and Stephanie White will call the action while Lisa Byington provides sideline reports.
The Husker Sports Network will provide a live radio broadcast of the game with Matt Coatney and Jeff
Griesch describing the action, including flagships B107.3 FM in Lincoln and 93.3 FM-KFFF in Omaha. A
free live audio stream will be available on Huskers.com.
The Huskers have won 11 of their last 12 games and advanced to their second straight semifinals with
a 76-61 win over seventh-seeded Iowa in Friday’s first quarterfinal game. First-team All-Big Ten forward
Jordan Hooper led the Huskers to their sixth win over the Hawkeyes in the last 14 months with 24 points
and seven rebounds. Senior All-Big Ten point guard Lindsey Moore added 13 points, four rebounds and
six assists, as eight Huskers scored five or more points in the game.
Purdue advanced to the semifinals with a 74-62 win over 11th-seeded Wisconsin. Junior KK Houser
led Purdue with 15 points and four assists, while sixth-year senior Drey Mingo added 13 points, as nine Boilermakers scored four or more points in the contest.
Purdue won the regular-season meeting with the Huskers, 69-66 in overtime on Jan. 5 in Lincoln.
Nebraska shot just 30.8 percent, including 9-of-30 from three-point range. Moore led NU with 22 points
and eight assists, while Hooper added 15 points and 14 rebounds. It was the third all-time meeting between
NU and Purdue, and all three games have gone overtime, including Nebraska’s 93-89 triple-overtime in
West Lafayette, Ind., on Feb. 2, 2012. The Boilermakers claimed a 74-70 double-overtime victory in the
2012 Big Ten Championship Game.

Hooper, Moore First NU Teammates with 1,600 Points
Junior forward Jordan Hooper and senior point guard Lindsey Moore both crossed the 1,600-point
career scoring mark in Nebraska’s Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal win over Iowa on Friday.
Hooper (1,622) and Moore (1,607) became the first active Husker teammates to play together with
1,600 points.
Huskers Make Second Big Ten Semifinal Appearance
Nebraska will be making its second straight Big Ten Tournament semifinal appearance in just its second
season in the Big Ten Conference. In 15 seasons in the Big 12 Conference, the Huskers earned only three
trips to the semifinals (1999, 2000, 2010).
Last season, NU rolled to a 77-62 semifinal win over then-No. 14 Ohio State, which snapped the
Buckeyes’ 10-game Big Ten Tournament winning streak.

Two-time first-team All-Big Ten forward Jordan Hooper has proved herself as a potent scorer in Big Ten
Tournament play. In five career tournament games, Hooper has produced three 20-plus scoring games,
including 24 points in Friday’s quarterfinal win over Iowa.
Last season in the Big Ten Tournament, Hooper scored 25 points in Nebraska’s championship game
setback to Purdue. She added 21 points in last year’s semifinal win over Ohio State.
In five career Big Ten Tournament games, Hooper is averaging 20.6 points per game (103 points). In six
all-time conference tournament contest, including one game in the 2011 Big 12 Tournament, Hooper has
scored 119 points, which is the fourth-most points ever scored by a Husker in conference tournament play.
Hooper needs just four points to match Karen Jennings (123, 1990-93) and 19 points to match Maurtice
Ivy (138, 1985-88) in career tournament scoring.
Nicole Kubik owns Nebraska’s career conference tournament scoring mark with 163 points in nine
career Big 12 Tournament games.
Hooper also owns 49 career rebounds in six conference tournament games, which ranks second on NU’s
all-time list. She needs 10 rebounds to match Jennings’ all-time Husker tournament mark of 59 rebounds.

Huskers vs. Boilermakers
Purdue leads the all-time series with Nebraska,
2-1, in a young series that has been filled with
overtimes. NU won the opener, 93-89 in 3OT at
West Lafayette, Ind., on Feb. 2, 2012. Purdue won
last year’s rematch 74-70 in 2OT in the Big Ten
Championship Game. The Boilermakers added a
69-66 OT win in Lincoln this season on Jan. 5.
Nebraska’s six overtimes against Purdue are
more than against any other team in school history.
The only other teams the Huskers have ever played

While Jordan Hooper has averaged better than 20 points per game in Big Ten Tournament play, senior
point guard Lindsey Moore has done plenty of damage of her own in the postseason tournament.
Last season, Moore produced Nebraska’s biggest game with 27 points in the Huskers’ championship
game loss to Purdue. She added 26 points in NU’s quarterfinal victory over Iowa and finished with 75
points in four 2012 tournament victories.
In five career Big Ten Tournament games, Moore has produced 88 points, 15 rebounds, 25 assists and
10 steals to average 17.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steals.
Moore ranks sixth all-time at Nebraska in career conference tournament scoring with 110 points in
eight games (5 Big Ten, 3 Big 12). She needs just two points to catch Anna DeForge (112, 1995-98) and
13 points to match Karen Jennings (123, 1990-93) in career conference tournament scoring. Moore also
owns Nebraska’s career conference tournament assist mark with 44.
Cady Warrior on Boards in Big Ten Tournament
In five career Big Ten Tournament games, Emily Cady has pulled down 44 rebounds for the Huskers.
She led the Huskers with eight rebounds in their quarterfinal win over Iowa on Friday. Last season, she
matched Jordan Hooper with 36 boards in four tournament games.
Cady, a 6-2 sophomore forward, already owns the fourth-most rebounds by a Husker in conference
tournament history. She needs just one to match Nafeesah Brown (45, 1993-94) for third, while trailing
Hooper by five (49, 2011-13) on the list. Karen Jennings owns Nebraska’s career conference tournament
record with 59 rebounds (1990-93).
In five Big Ten tourney games, Cady is avergaing 7.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.0 steals.
Sample Gives Huskers More Balance in Big Ten Tournament
Sophomore forward Hailie Sample scored eight points and grabbed five rebounds in Nebraska’s
quarterfinal win over Iowa on Friday. In five career Big Ten Tournament games, Sample is averaging 7.6
points and 4.3 rebounds.

Nebraska Big Ten Tournament Semifinal Notes
A Nebraska win would:
• Give Nebraska 24 wins this season, which would match its second-highest victory total in school history. Last year, the Huskers finished 24-9. The 2009-10
Huskers set the school record with 32 wins (32-2). The Huskers have reached 23 wins four other times (1979, 1980, 1993, 1998).
• Send Nebraska to the Big Ten Tournament Championship Game for the second straight year. Before last season, Nebraska had not played in a conference
tournament title game since 1993.
• Put Nebraska in position to play in its fourth game for a conference title in the last four seasons, since NU seniors Lindsey Moore and Meghin Williams joined
the Husker program. Prior to their arrival, Nebraska had not played a regular-season or tournament game for a conference title since 1993.
Nebraska vs. Purdue
• Purdue leads the all-time series with Nebraska, 2-1. All three games have gone overtime with a combined six overtimes. Nebraska met Purdue in the 2012
Big Ten Tournament title game, with the Boilermakers claiming a 74-70 win in 2OT.
• Purdue won this year’s regular-season meeting, 69-66 in OT at the Devaney Center in Lincoln on Jan. 5. Lindsey Moore led Nebraska with 22 points and
eight assists. Jordan Hooper added a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Emily Cady had seven points and 12 rebounds. Sam Ostarello led
Purdue with 17 points and 19 rebounds. Drey Mingo (17 points, 8 rebounds) and Courtney Moses (17 points, 5 rebounds) also had strong games for the
Boilermakers.
• In this season’s first meeting, Nebraska opened the game 0-for-16 from the field until Brandi Jeffery hit the Huskers’ first field goal with 8:40 left in the first
half. NU trailed 13-1 before Jeffery’s shot, but Nebraska trailed just 15-14 as the two defenses dominated the first half.
• In just three all-time games, Nebraska’s six overtimes with Purdue are the Huskers’ most against any opponent in school history. The Huskers played three
overtime games in 81 appearances against Kansas (three total overtimes) and three overtime games in 71 appearances against Missouri (three total
overtimes). Nebraska has played six of its all-time 44 overtime periods (36 games) against the Boilermakers in 1,181 all-time games in school history.
• In three career games against Purdue, Nebraska senior point guard Lindsey Moore has averaged 25.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists. Moore has scored
at least 20 points in all three of her career meetings with Purdue, including 27 points in the 2012 Big Ten Championship Game.
• In three career games against Purdue, Nebraska junior forward Jordan Hooper has averaged 22.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. Hooper has produced
double-doubles in each of the last two meetings with the Boilermakers, including 25 points and 10 rebounds in the 2012 Big Ten Championship Game.
• In three career games against Purdue, Nebraska sophomore forward Emily Cady has averaged 8.3 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. Cady has

• With a win over Iowa, Lindsey Moore won the 92nd game of her career as a starter, the most by a Husker starter in school history. Nebraska has averaged
23 wins per season with Moore as its starting point guard. Prior to Moore’s arrival at Nebraska, the school record for victories in a season was 23 (4 times).
• Lindsey Moore is expected to increase her school record for consecutive starts and total starts to 129. She is expected to move to No. 5 on NU’s career games
played list, tying Danielle Page (2005-08).
• Moore has increased her Nebraska career record for total minutes to 4,201 entering today’s game.
• Moore has 164 assists this season, which ranks ninth on Nebraska’s single-season. She needs three assists to match her season total from a year ago (167,
2011-12) in eighth and five assists to match Meggan Yedsena at No. 6 (169, 1992-93 & 1993-94) on NU’s season assist chart.
• Moore owns 1,607 points, 403 rebounds, 668 assists and 202 career steals.
• Jordan Hooper owns 1,622 points and 771 rebounds. She needs seven rebounds to match Maurtice Ivy for No. 6 on Nebraska’s career rebounding list (778).
• Hooper has hit 71 three-pointers this season and will pass Kiera Hardy (71, 2006-07) for fifth on Nebraska’s single-season list with her next three.
• With 260 rebounds this season, Hooper needs 11 rebounds to match Kathy Hagerstrom (271, 1980-81) for 10th on Nebraska’s single-season rebounding
