Lincoln Ave. 303.841.4500 www.ParkerRec.com AquaFLEX: The AquaFLEX Program is an effective low-impact workout for developing muscular strength and endurance, core conditioning, and dynamic flexibility, as well as being a fun and unique way to exercise in the water. The AquaFLEX Workout is a series of shallow or deep water workouts. Instruction is given from the pool deck. Aqua Therapy: The purpose of this class is to provide therapeutic exercises addressing age related weakness, mobility challenges, injuries, post-surgical interventions and those with chronic disease. Specific exercises are included for improving static and dynamic balance, preventing falls, developing body and postural awareness, improving strength, flexibility, breathing and circulation. Aqua Zumba®: A Zumba “pool party,” the Aqua Zumba program gives new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. Integrating the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, the Aqua Zumba class blends it all together Into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio-conditioning, bodytoning and most of all, exhilarating. Buoys, Belts and Balance: An intermediate class but can be modified for a beginner or advanced. Work the upper body in the shallow end using buoys and then move to the deep end to work on lower body and core. Finish with balancing exercises and stretching. Instruction is from the deck with pool instruction provided as needed. Deep Blue Aqua: Designed for the beginner to intermediate exerciser, this class uses a variety of equipment for cardio and strength training. The class is in deep water using belts or noodles for flotation. Instruction is from the pool with deck instruction provided as needed. Modifications in the shallow end are also available. Golden Splash: Golden Splash offers a lot of fun shallow-water moves to improve agility, flexibility, strength and endurance. No swimming ability is required. Kickboards, rings, buoys and other equipment will be used. Instruction is from the pool with deck instruction provided as needed. H2O Challenge: This class will work your entire body from head to toe and will help you to burn more calories while toning muscles and building strength. Various water equipment will be used. Instruction is from both the deck on Mondays and from the pool with deck instruction provided as needed on other days. H2O Flow: This class incorporates your body into the flow of tai chi and yoga connecting to your body through movement and flowing while balancing your chi. Feeling the difference in body and mind connection. A great option for those with arthritis, fibromyalgia or those looking to improve overall health and well being. Instruction is from the deck with pool instruction provided as needed. H2O Flow YoQa: This class incorporates your body into the flow of tai chi and yoga. Connect to your body through movement and flow while balancing your chi. A great option for those with arthritis, fibromyalgia or those looking to improve overall health and well being. Instruction is from the deck with pool instruction as needed. Poolates/Ai Chi: This class is a combination of deep breathing and slow broad movements while standing in chest deep water. Postures, from simple hand movements to balancing the whole body, invite awareness, relaxation and tranquility. Instruction is given from the pool with deck instruction provided as needed. River Challenge/ River Challenge with AquaFLEX: Held in the lazy river, this class uses water resistance to focus on building strength and endurance. River Challenge with AquaFLEX is the same format in the lazy river followed by use of the AquaFlex for muscle strength and endurance. Instruction is given from the pool deck. Saturday Splash: Designed for beginner to intermediate exercisers, use various aqua equipment for a great weekend workout. Combining cardio, strength and core, this class has it all! This class utilizes both shallow and deep water. Instruction is given from the pool with deck instruction as needed.
