Mission Statement
Provide year-round sports training and athletic competition
in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults
with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing
opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate
courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of
gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special
Olympics athletes and the community.

If you register for express checkout, you can quickly check out at our express
checkout lane. You must have your invoice and have paid, in order to pick
up your items from the auction tables.
1 Auction Rules
1.
The Silent Auction will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. and continue
without interruption until all sections have closed at 7:40 p.m.
The Live Auction will begin at approximately 8 p.m.
2.
Payment by the successful bidder should be made at the close of
the Live Auction. Payment may be made with MasterCard, Visa,
American Express, Discover, cash or checks.
3.
All checks should be made payable to Special Olympics Illinois.
4.
Special Olympics Illinois has attempted to describe and catalog
all items correctly and all items are offered as is. All sales are
final and there will be no exchanges or refunds.
5.
All auction items must be removed from the DoubleTree by
Hilton Hotel on the evening of the auction. A “Paid” receipt,
obtained from the auction cashier, must be presented before
items can be removed. For large items, please make
arrangements for pickup with Special Olympics Illinois.
6.
The auction checkout invoice should serve as your official
receipt for items purchased. The value set forth for each item is a
good faith estimate of the fair market value as required by the
IRS.
7.
Unless otherwise specified, all auction items and services must
be used within one year of the auction date.
8.
In cases where more than one bidder shares in the cost of a Live
Auction item, a representative from the bidding group must
notify the auction cashier immediately of the participating
bidders and their respective share of the cost.
9.
Each person issued a bid number assumes all risks and hazards
related to the auction and items obtained at the auction. Each
bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising there
from Special Olympics Illinois, its elected and appointed
officials, members, and employees, the auctioneer, the auction
company and its agents and employees, the event organizers,
sponsors, and/or volunteers connected with the auction.

101. Epiphany Farms Seven-Course Chef's Tasting for
Four People
Epiphany Farms Restaurant in Bloomington brings Midwestern
cuisine to the global stage. Its mission is to blend socially conscious
farming techniques with comfortable fine dining in order to produce
something that customers not only enjoy, but also understand.
Epiphany Farms strives to create food systems that provide
exceptional quality and a sustainable, regenerative future. This
certificate is for a seven-course Chef's grand tasting menu at
Epiphany Farms Restaurant for four guests with wine pairing,
specifically crafted for the occasion. The tasting menu is inspired by
Epiphany Farms’ most delicious products, and allows the Chefs to
showcase the day’s bounty.
Restrictions: Package is designed for four guests. Reservations required.

102. St. Louis Overnight Getaway for 4
Explore St. Louis from the top of the Gateway Arch with four adult
vouchers to the top of the Arch. After you see the city from up high,
head to the Missouri Botanical Garden with four passes to the
Missouri Botanical Garden, Shaw Nature Reserve or the Sophia M.
Sach Butterfly House in Chesterfield, Missouri. End your day with
dinner at The Cheesecake Factory and an overnight stay at the
Renaissance St. Louis Grand Hotel.
Restrictions: Renaissance St. Louis Grand Hotel complimentary deluxe
accommodations includes room and room taxes only for one night stay.
Reservations are subject to availability and must be made in advance;
certificate expires 11/30/16. Gateway Arch tickets expire 8/5/16. Missouri
Botanical Garden passes are valid for general admission only and are not
valid for special admission rate events, exhibits or attractions. $50 gift card
to The Cheesecake Factory.

4 Live Auction
103. Chicago Museums Overnight Package
Take in two of Chicago’s premier attractions with The Field Museum
and Shedd Aquarium. This package includes four general admission
tickets to The Field Museum and four Shedd Aquarium tickets good
for express entry to the aquarium, Abbott Oceanarium and Wild
Reef. Also includes special exhibit and aquatics show. Hotel
accommodations are just 12 miles from the museums at the
MileNorth Chicago Hotel. Package also includes $50 to Maggiano’s
Little Italy.
Restrictions: MileNorth Hotel accommodations based on availability and
must contact ahead of time for reservations; expires 10/31/16. Shedd
Aquarium certificate does not include 4-D Experience of Stingray Touch
and expires November 2016. Field Museum certificate is good for general
admission tickets and expires 11/12/16.

104. Hand-stitched Illusion Quilt
For the third-year in-a-row, Area 6 athlete Sandi Froman has created
a hand-stitched quilt in an illusion pattern just for the Special
Olympics Illinois Holiday Dinner & Auction. Sandi has been a
Special Olympics Illinois athlete for over 30 years, competing with
Special Opportunities Available in Recreation (SOAR) in
Bloomington. She has participated in basketball, bowling, soccer,
volleyball, golf, bocce, aquatics, and athletics. She was one of the first
female athletes to run the mile for Special Olympics Illinois. While
she was successful in these sports, Sandi has moved to the lifetime
sports competition. She now competes in Unified bocce, bowling and
walking events in track and field. Not only is Sandi an athlete, she is
a Special Olympics Global Messenger and a talented quilter. This
project took Sandi 6 weeks to hand stich.

105. Chef Troy Catering Event
Dinner for 10 including wine pairings at your home or specific
location. The winner will meet with Biaggi’s chef, Troy Tomlinson,
to plan the menu which will include a multi-course meal and
dessert.
Restrictions: Contact Troy Tomlinson at least four weeks in advance for the desired
date. Not valid during the month of December. Servers and gratuities not included.
Expires: November 12, 2016.

106. Chicago Dinner Cruise

Package includes four one-way Southwest flight e-passes℠ which
can be combined for roundtrip travel. The Southwest flight e-passes℠
are valid for travel on Southwest operated, published scheduled
service only in the United States, its territories and its possessions,
including Puerto Rico, unless specified above.
Restrictions: There are no blackout dates associated with the Southwest
flight e-pass℠. Travel must be completed by 11/01/2016. Southwest flight epass℠ cannot be exchanged, extended or reissued and the actual date of
travel may not occur after the expiration date.
