MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
COMMEMORATIVE BUCKS OF MICHIGAN (CBM) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Michigan sportsman's organization
dedicated solely to Deer, Bear, Elk and Turkey hunters. For those “Dyed in the Wool” hunters who REALLY want to
know the “When-Where-How” of Michigan Big Game hunting...membership in CBM is an indispensable tool! If Michigan
Big Game hunting is YOUR sport then CBM should be YOUR organization!
CBM FUNCTIONS:
• Conducts a yearly competition to determine the biggest Deer, Bear, Elk and Turkey taken in Michigan. The
competition includes 56 different classifications, each with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards, including Special
Categories for Youth, Women and Senior Hunters. (210 possible awards)
• Holds a yearly Awards Banquet to honor the competition winners. Awards to the lucky winners!
• Publishes on line “BUCK FAX”, Michigan's foremost big game hunter's magazine, which reports:
1. How to improve your hunting success rate.
2. Information on “HOT SPOTS” in Michigan where large trophy animals are known to exist.
3. Articles about how large or unusual Deer, Bear, Elk and Turkeys were hunted and taken.
4. Information on the latest Big Game research.
• Provides TV stations, newspapers and magazines with news on noteworthy trophy kills and successful hunters.
• Collects information and maintains the “Michigan Big Game Records” book for all trophy class Deer, Bear, Elk
and Turkeys.
• Maintains a trained and certified team of measurers throughout both peninsulas to measure and score trophies.
• Major participant in the annual “Michigan Deer & Turkey Expo” held in Lansing, Michigan each spring.
• Stages Fund Raising Dinners in both the lower and the upper peninsulas that include auctions for hunting equipment, wildlife art, guided hunts, etc.
MEMBERS RECEIVE:
• Subscription to Commemorative Bucks of Michigan’s official on line magazine, “BUCK FAX”.
• A four-color trophy commendation arm patch FREE for members with qualifying entries. (One per scoring period)
• A FREE parchment Achievement Certificate recognizing the successful hunter if they take a trophy.
• An annual listing showing which counties are producing the best hunting potential...including the biggest trophy
animals.
• A colored Commemorative Bucks of Michigan window decal for your car or truck.
