Proprioception
The body’s defense
against injury
Proprioception is subconcious awareness that tells
us where different parts of our body are located,
both in relation to one another and to the surrounding
environment. It is what enables us to walk without
looking at our feet. As such, it plays a key role in
protecting the body against injury.
Within the body’s complex neuromuscular system there
is two-way communication. Sensors in the
muscles - proprioceptors - relay information to the brain,
which in turn feeds back the awareness necessary for
muscle and joint control.
Proprioception plays a key role in sports performance. In
any sport, fluidity is key. The ability to position yourself
appropriately and react fast is an essential part of your
performance.

ACTIVE ELBOW SUPPORT
EpiTrain®
EpiTrain® is an active support for targeted compression of
the elbow. The knitted fabric and the pressure cushions
(pads) produce an intermittent compression massage effect
on the soft tissue during movement. This relieves pain,
stimulates the metabolism and activates the surrounding
muscles. Swelling is also reduced more quickly and the
joint is provided with long-lasting stabilization.

The GenuTrain P3 support relieves pain caused by misalignment of the kneecap.The active support, with its two
integral massage pads and an adjustable corrective strap,

Thanks to the anatomically shaped visco-elastic pressure

The lateral splints on the GenuTrain S Pro active support
have adjustable hinges. Together with two inelastic straps

alternative to taping for muscle injuries to the thigh and
hamstrings, such as muscle fiber tears or pulls, myosclerosis

ManuTrain® takes the strain off your wrist and provides
pain relief. To do this, the flexible Train active knitted
fabric has compressive inserts incorporated into it, taking
pressure off nerves and blood vessels and relieving pain.

AchilloTrain Pro promotes muscular stabilization while a
shaped insert (pad) with two wings and nubs massages the

AchilloTrain®
The AchilloTrain® active support helps to relieve the
Achilles tendon without restricting mobility. An anatomically contoured insert (pad) produces a massage effect,
thus stimulating the surrounding tissue. An integral heel
cushion relieves the tendon. Edemas and effusions can
thus subside more quickly.
MalleoTrain® S
The MalleoTrain® S with individually adjustable strap system gives your ankle reliable support even while in motion
and protects against the lateral twisting of the foot.
MalleoTrain® S open heel
MalleoTrain S open heel guides the foot with its 3-level
strap system. It protects against lateral twisting, positively
influences your perception of your own movement and
gives you a feeling of security.

Wear and Care –
Feel the difference.
Washing
All Bauerfeind Train supports can be machine washed in
cold/cool water (~ 86°F), using the gentle or delicate
wash cycle setting. Wash separately using a laundry
detergent with no additives (no fabric softener or Woolite®).
We recommend using a mesh lingerie bag, if possible.
Please wash your Train product regularly to retain
the compression of the knitted fabric!
For products with Velcro® straps:
Remove the straps if possible, or fasten them
securely at the place provided for this purpose.
If possible, also remove pads/inserts before washing.
The LumboTrain spine massage pad is removable.
Drying
Note: Never subject your Train product to direct heat
(e.g. heaters, sunlight, in your car, etc.)! This could damage
the material, which can impair the effectiveness.
Air dry your Train product. Do not dry it in a dryer because
this can compromise the knitted fabric.

At the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver, Bauerfeind was
an official partner of the Olympic organizing committee and
was supporting athletes of all participating nations with
service and products.
2012 was the largest Olympic mission in the company’s
history: in London we offered medical care to all 10.500
athletes from 204 nations at the Olympic Village.
Continuing with the support of the Olympic movement,
Bauerfeind was also providing its services and solutions at
the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.
