- Inclusion criteria:
- Age groups: 5-, 12-, 15- years old
- No braces present in oral cavity
- Children were examined in their educational facility by calibrated
examiners in various regions of Slovakia
- Examining team: a calibrated examiner and an assistant
- Data sources : - clinical examination

- The situation of oral health is improving:
- Bigger portion of children with intact teeth among
5-years old
- Less average DMFT in the group of 12-years old
BUT
- We see a need for continual research in this area with emphasis on
periodical re-evaluation of current situation according to WHO
recommendations every 5 years1
