STATION UPDATE:
Recently a listener/supporter wrote a letter which blessed and affirmed us in our
mission to keep "broadcasting the things that become SOUND doctrine" (Titus 2:1). Not
everyone writes, but we know that everyone who does respond to our Station Reports
and understands the nature of our support, is blessed by the broadcasts. I'm sure his letter
will encourage others, also.
The listener/supporter wrote:
PORT ALLEN EDUCATIONAL BROADCASTING FDN.
"Dear Brother Kennedy and all the Staff of The Sound,
I want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your
faithful service to the Lord over these many years. I have listened to
KPAE/WPAE since (at least) the 90's. It's become part of my life, mostly
listening to it while I drive. You are successfully fulfilling the mission of
getting God's word out, and your listeners are those who are seeking God
and His truth.
Enclosed is a check to help with your financial shortfall. Thanks
for making the need known (Luke 10:7). I pray God's blessings upon you
in this important Kingdom work."
To date, we have diminished the shortfall by half. We have had numerous recommitments of support and added about a dozen new families. We would like to see 50 new
supporters by June 30. It is so encouraging to see people renew their gifts! We know by
this that they are still blessed by the ministry.
As we've indicated in the Station Reports, we have been in a decline in support
for at least two years. Our crunch is probably just a reflection of what so many families
and churches are facing, too. But we know the Lord is faithful and will see us all through
the downturn.
Arlene and I have been blessed as we continue to visit the supporting churches. If
your church does not support Sound Radio, would you pray about mentioning it to your
leadership.
May God's grace and peace and truth be multiplied unto you, beloved,
We need your help to keep "Pouring out the water of the Word". Thank you so much!
As a Mother
Jesus, as a mother you gather your people to you; you are gentle
with us as a mother with her children. Often you weep over our sins
and our pride; tenderly you draw us from hatred and judgment. You
comfort us in sorrow and bind up our wounds; in sickness you nurse
us, and with pure milk you feed us.

Jesus, by your dying we are born to new life; by your anguish
and labor we come forth in joy. Despair turns to hope through
your sweet goodness; through your gentleness we find comfort
in fear. Your warmth gives life to the dead; your touch makes
sinners righteous.
Lord Jesus, in your mercy heal us; in your love and tenderness remake us. In your compassion,
bring grace and forgiveness; for the beauty of heaven may your love prepare us.

Program Name: “One Cry Prayer Summit 2014: Telling the Story of
Awakening”
Thursday, May 1, 2014 | 7–8:59 p.m.
Program Description: On the National Day of Prayer, Moody Radio will
broadcast a live concert of prayer called the “One Cry Prayer Summit 2014:
Telling the Story of Awakening.” For two hours, on-air program host Wayne
Shepherd, prayer director Bob Bakke and Social Media interaction host
Meredith Andrews will inspire listeners to pray for awakening for His body to step up and make a difference in our
troubled world.
This two-hour concert of prayer broadcast will consist of teaching on prayer, interviews with ministry leaders around the
country, music performed from Moody Radio’s Studio B, and intersession by our studio prayer team. The goal of this
broadcast is to continue the call to awaken the Church and rejoice in the way God is hearing our prayer for a new work
of the Holy Spirit in America. Several guests, including influential pastors, speakers, ministry leaders and musicians will
join us.
Sound Radio, Moody Radio and OneCry are partnering to:
• Continue to create a national focus for the renewal of vibrant personal relationships with Jesus
and the “first love” of the Church.
• Awaken believers to understand the seriousness of the times and how God wants us
to prepare to face the challenge of these days.
• Ask God to empower believers and the Church to fulfill the Great Commission.
• Wait on God for direction and wisdom in reaching the nation.

Demonstrate the unity of the Body of Christ.
