Year 4 Camp at Stowford Meadows
In May, Year 4 went to
Stowford Farm Meadows
for a camping trip. We all
had lots of fun and slept
well going to bed at 9.30pm
and woke all the teachers
up every early! Everyone
was really happy. Everyone
really enjoyed all of the fun
activities, especially the
petorama where there was
a singing dog! Year 4 really
want to go again.

Junior Park Rangers
Last Tuesday Year 4 went
on a trip to Stowford
Farm Meadows. First, we
unpacked our sleeping
bags and rollmats.
Secondly, we all had some
free play and we could play
rounders, football or cricket.
Next, 4EC went swimming
and played with the huge
floats and the balls. After
that, we played crazy golf. It
was really hard.
Then we went to the petorama. At the petorama, there
was a singing dog and a
ferret race. It was very, very
fun. At lunch time, we all
went back to the tents to
have a snack. After that,
some of 4EC went to the part
and we played on the swings
and the slides. At night, we
had dinner and I had jumbo
sausage and chips. Finally,
we went to bed.
In the last few weeks
lucky Year 4 got to go to
Bicclescombe Park. We went
there to become Junior Park
Rangers. The activities we
did were orienteering with
map reading, recycling,
trees, a mini-beast hunt,
birds, pond dipping and
then we did our
presentation. We were all
very lucky with the weather,
so we had a great time.

We are the Devon Champions
Tag Rugby
The following children
represented North Devon at
the Devon Summer School
Games in Exeter recently:
Evi Williams-Mills, William
McDonald, Daniel Simpson
and Tegan Dagley.
After a very competitive
competition, Ilfracombe
Junior School tennis team
became the Devon
Champions!
The following children
reached the North Devon
Schools’ Tag Rugby final:
Dione Montague, Bayleigh
Davies, Elijah Clarke, Archie
Voss-Bark, Max Couling,
Tom Gover, Chanade
Cooney, Rudy Bucknall, Ellie
Reyner and Nathan
Challacombe.
After a very exciting game,
they came second missing
out by one try.
Dione Montague won the
Player of the Tournament
award which was well
deserved.

Winners
Our Quad Kids Finish 3rd
Year 5’s Jacob Braund and
Brandon Brown competed
against Woolacombe School
in the final of the North
Devon Schools Tennis
Competition and were
overall winners.

In the Year 3/4 competition
Evi Williams Mills, William
Mcdonald, Dan Simpson and
Tegan Dagley reached the
final against West Buckland.
Black Rock Run
Well done to Noah Whyment
4LC who raised £45 for
Swaziland by doing the Black
Rock Run. He came a very
respectable third.
Our school athletics team
recently competed at the
Quad Kids athletics event at
Braunton Athletcis Track and
finished in third place out
of 24 schools.
They were: Chanade Cooney,
Molly Gooch, Bayleigh
Davies, Dione Montague,
Luke Halls, Archie Voss-Bark,
Nathan Challacombe and
Elijah Clarke.
Aquathlon
Walking Bus
Well done to everyone who
took part in this year’s
Aquathlon.
Year 3 Girls – 1st Jessica
Nevill and our team came
3rd overall.
Year 3 Boys - Sonny
Hutchings 3rd and our team
1st.
Year 4 Boys and our team 3rd.
Year 5 Boys - Finley Ball 2nd
and our team 1st.
Year 6 Girls - our team came
3rd overall.
Year 6 Boys – Jacob Gooch
came 1st, Jack Kemp 2nd
and our team 1st.
As of September, we will
need a willing volunteer to
help with the walking bus.
This service is provided to
walk children up from the
infant school to our school.

from 8.30am until 8.50am.
