This year we will yet again welcome some of the nation’s top entertainers through song, dance, comedy,
theatre, circus, acrobatics and even science! In our zones we’ve included festival favourites, but also
challenged ourselves to bring to life the intriguing and unexpected. There are zones where children and
adults alike can create unique and distinctive memories.
There is no hiding that this event is amazing, entertaining and engaging. For our community it is also a
celebration of our beautiful city and of the incredible world class event that we host each year in our very
own backyard….actually it’s more like our front yard!
...it is also a celebration
of our beautiful city
and of the incredible
world class event that
we host each year in
our very own backyard
I must pause to openly and loudly thank our corporate and philanthropic partners, as well as the dedicated
staff, contractors and volunteers who are the life force of the festival each year.
Please take time to laugh, create, engage, sing and dance - use our
festival to make happy memories with your friends and family...it’s here
for you to enjoy!
MESSAGE FROM
JOHN EREN
MINISTER FOR TOURISM
AND MAJOR EVENTS
I’m delighted to welcome you to
Australia’s best and brightest festival
designed specifically for children aged 12 years and younger.
The Victorian Government is proud to again be supporting
the Fun4Kids Festival as part of our broader efforts to
promote and develop tourism across regional Victoria.
As one of South West Victoria’s biggest annual events,
Fun4Kids continues to attract large numbers of visitors to
Warrnambool during the traditionally quiet winter period,
delivering wide-ranging benefits for local businesses.
Last year’s festival attracted almost 20,000 people, with
more than half travelling to the event from outside the
Warrnambool region.
I encourage all festival visitors to make the most of this
opportunity to experience the many stunning attractions
South West Victoria has to offer, from the Twelve Apostles
and the world famous Great Ocean Road to the historic
settlements of Port Fairy and Portland.
And I wish you all a very exciting and memorable 2015
Fun4Kids Festival enjoying some of the best children’s
entertainment from Australia and around the world.
MESSAGE FROM
CR MICHAEL NEOH
MAYOR OF WARRNAMBOOL
Welcome to our vibrant and
wonderful festival this year.
Our team has been busy working to deliver you an
amazing array of performance, comedy, dance, theatre,
art, culture and activities that will engage minds of both
young and old.
Warrnambool is a bustling regional city with strong
values and welcoming arms, and our incredible team of
volunteers, community organisations, South West TAFE,
major corporate partners, the Community Consultation
Panel and local businesses are proud to open Fun4Kids
for its 17th year.
Whether you are bobbing along to Hip Hoop or tapping
to Japanese Drumming, or trying your hand at weaving
or movie making, our program allows you, your family
and your children to engage and be entertained by
exciting and often unexpected arts and culture.
To those who have travelled from afar, we welcome you
and hope you have a great stay in the city, but also take
a chance to extend your stay to explore the region. It’s
breathtaking in winter and some of our best delights
are on offer, and provide a teaser for those looking for a

Little Pigs, Cinderella, Little Red Riding
Hood, Snow White, Goldilocks and Jack
and the Beanstalk? Think again! Roald
Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes & Dirty Beasts
bursts off the page in a spectacular
new live show, taking the world’s best-loved fairy tales and rearranging them
with some surprising and hilarious twists.
Seriously funny and frighteningly silly, Roald Dahl’s
Revolting Rhymes & Dirty Beasts is the perfect family
entertainment especially for children 5 to 105 that is
sure to delight and disgust in equal measures.
Adapted for the stage by shake & stir theatre co and originally
co-produced with La Boite Theatre Company
Cirque Disarray
Tuesday 30 June
Three stage hands run around nervously, looking for the stars of
the show and the wild animals that have vanished. There’s only
one thing left to do. Everybody stand up! Obviously no one told
them there has been a change of cast. After some confusion
over who is who, some on the spot training and last minute
costume changes, the curtain is finally drawn and the music
begins. There’s no business like show business!

The Circus Firemen perform
an incredible show comprising
of acrobatics, fire juggling and
precarious balance on ladders.
This show
will have
the kids
giggling
and on the
edge of
their seats!
This gorgeous family show is set in the lost mail
room, a strange, dusty ‘nowhere land’ where
homeless parcels and undeliverable letters live. A simple but ingenious set of cardboard boxes sets
the scene.
There is a highly-strung mail room dweller, intent
on keeping his boxes in order, and a free-spirited
new arrival whose sense of adventure will leave you
gasping for breath.
The Magic Toyshop
The discovery of a
strange parcel throws
the oddly delightful
duo into a quandary.
How will they deal
with this unexpected
development?
Melbourne City Ballet brings to life the
story of two dancing dolls in the reimagining
of the classic The Magic Toyshop.
Featuring a cast of performers from various
companies (including Dutch National
Ballet, Queensland Ballet and Royal New
Zealand Ballet), The Magic Toyshop takes
audiences on an adventure to protect the
friendship of the two dolls. With magical
sets and whimsically coloured costumes this
beautifully designed production will be a
performance that will be enjoyed by all ages!
