Transportation Information
From Hong Kong International Airport to the hotel (39.4 km)

Option 1: Hotel shuttle (~50 minute drive, cost HK$130)

Pick up: Regal Airport Hotel, which is directly connected to the Hong Kong
International Airport by an enclosed and air-conditioned link bridge. The hotel
representatives at the airport service counter will assist you. Check the map below to
see how to go to Regal Airport Hotel from the airport arrival hall.

Option 2: Taxi (Red1 or Green Taxi, ~33 minute drive, cost HK$230~280)
Taxi Station can be reached by the left-hand ramp outside the Arrivals Hall. Please
follow the red circled sign “To City” to the taxi station (you can easily find many such
signs in airport).
Most of the time, there will be airport staff helping you get a taxi. You can show the
following address information (in Chinese) to the staff and taxi driver.

Option 3: By Airbus A41 (~60 minute drive, cost HK$22.3)
Frequency: every 20 minutes
Operating hours: 06:00 – 24:00
Payment: Exact payment (no changes) or pay by Octopus Card (how to get one)

o Step 1: follow the “To City” sign to find the Bus Terminus

Step 2: In front of the terminus, you will see a Bus Information board. You
can easily find the location of the A41 bus here.
Note: You have to press the bell to inform the driver that you will get off at the next
stop (Regal Riverside Hotel Stop). On the bus, there will be announcement of the stop
information in English, Mandarin (Putonghua) and Cantonese.
From Regal Riverside Hotel to FSE2014 conference venue (7.8 km)

Option 1: Call taxi at hotel (~10 minute drive, cost HK$70~90)
You can show the following address information (in Chinese) and the photo of the
Auditorium to the driver.

Option 2: public bus/minibus
o Step 1: Take public bus to MTR Sha Tin Station or its nearby bus stations2
(15~30 minutes, cost HK$3.5 ~ 6.1). Check Table 1, Table 2, Figure 1, and
Figure 2 for more details. We suggest minibus No. 809K because it directly
connects with minibus No. 27 at the same station (see Figure 2).
o Step 2: Take public minibus No. 27 to Science Park (15~20 minutes, cost
HK$6.6). Bus frequency: every 4 – 15 minutes (more frequent in rush hour).
Bus station2 is Sha Tin Station (Pai Tau Street) Terminus (see Figure 3), which
is outside Exit B of MTR Sha Tin Station.

Option 3: public bus/minibus + MTR
o Step 1: Take public bus to MTR Sha Tin Station (15~30 minutes, cost HK$3.5
~ 6.1). Check Table 1, Table 2, and Figure 1 for detailed instructions.
o Step 2: Take MTR East Rail Line to MTR University Station (~8 minutes, cost
HK$4.0 for standard class and HK$8.0 for first class).
o Step 3: Take public bus KMB 272K to Science Park (~10 minutes, cost
HK$3.8). Bus frequency: every 5 – 15 minutes (more frequent in rush hour).
Bus station2 is just outside Exit B of University Station (see Figure 4).
When you arrive at Science Park, the Auditorium is within walking distance. Check Figure
5 for details.
