Here are some informational items about transportation during cold weather: Students are expected to be at the bus stop when the bus arrives, so please make sure they wear a warm coat, hat, and gloves. If there is a school closure, please listen to WDRB Fox 41, WHAS Channel 11, WAVE 3, and/or WSLM radio in Salem. Also, we have a mass messenger system that you are encouraged to subscribe to for valuable school information. Contact your child’s school office or log onto our website and look under the Student/Parent’s tab and click on Instant Messenger. You will find directions on how to subscribe to this valuable venue of communication. Please make sure someone is home to receive your child in the evenings from the bus stop. Make sure students do not stand right on the edge of the road when waiting for the bus. If roads are slick, a passing car could lose control. We suggest standing back a little bit from the road and encourage your child to be observant of the surroundings. If you have any transportation questions, please contact Greg Hopkins, Assistant to the Superintendent at 967-3926. Safety is our #1 priority. The EWMS Student Appreciation Night will be January 12.
