uality control at GWI is our foremost priority and we’ve invested considerable human resources and capital
to ensure it. Located in the Newport area of Shanghai, the quality control unit is a 100,000 sq. ft. building
combined with warehouse, office, and a state-of-the-art lab. Every employee in Shanghai holds at least a
bachelor’s degree, and over half have earned a master’s degree in chemical or food science. With our professional
associates, we are able to audit all manufacturers and conduct superior product quality controls on site.

nder GWI’s supervision, manufacturer qualifications take place by evaluating documents such
as GMP/ISO/HACCP, quality questionnaires, and certificates of analysis. In addition, we carefully
audit warehouse capacity, equipment, and technique/storage facilities. All QC procedures are
meticulously and regularly carried out for both new and existing manufacturers.
n addition to testing product at the in-house lab, we also send them to a third party lab to
verify quality. For new products and new manufacturer origins, GWI will have the lab report
before the product is released to the market. For regular products, GWI also has a testing
program for quarterly or half-yearly reviews.

nalytical testing of GWI products is performed at the lab in Shanghai, China. We are currently
testing mesh size, bulk density, and microbial testing in house as an initial step. In addition, we
are working with a 3rd party lab in Shanghai to test the heavy metal, and beginning in 2014,
we will commence with ID testing. Eventually, GWI will have full control over the quality of products by
testing a majority of the items listed on the COA.
