Ironman Triathlon Langkawi Malaysia
What started off as a novel idea among a group of friends in 1978 is today an international event that tests
human fitness and endurance. Ironman made its debut on the legendary island of Langkawi in 2000, and
has returned to the island every year since. The triathlon starts off with a 3.8-kilometre (2.4-mile) swim at the
Kuah Jetty, takes the athletes through various challenges and ends at the famous Eagle promenade.
