Entry Requirments
Gunung Mat Cincang is probably
Langkawi’s best-known mountain, aside
from its neighbour Gunung Raya. At 850
m high, it is the second highest mountain
in Langkawi .
Language
Visitors must be in possesion of a valid passport or travel document with
a minimum validity of six months beyond the intended visiting period.
Citizens of most countries do not require visas for social or business visits.

Local Information
1) Shoes must always be removed when visiting homes or places of
worship such as mosques and temples. Most mosque provide robes
and scarves for ladies.
2) While visiting a homestay village, please be respectful of local customs
and traditions.
3) The country’s large Muslim population does not drink liquor or
alcoholic beverages.
4) The weather is generally warm with occasional torrential showers.
Cotton clothes, rubber shoes and sun hats are the best. Always ask for
permission before taking photographs when you are in someone’s
house.
CABLE CAR LANGKAWI
The Cable Car system is the latest
tourist attraction for Langkawi and is
located at the Oriental Village, a
theme shopping centre housed in
30’s individually designed buildings
showcasing Malaysian and Oriental
architecture.

DAYANG BUNTING ISLAND
Dayang Bunting Island is the
largest island after Langkawi in
Kedah. It is located 17.6 miles or
about 15 minutes by boat from
the jetty Kuah, Langkawi
MAHSURI TOMB
Mahsuri tomb is believed to be the place
in which Mahsuri Pandak daughter Maya
was buried on the island of Langkawi,
Kedah. It is located about 12km from
Kuah .

TELAGA TUJUH
Known as the “Seven Wells” in English,
Telaga Tujuh is located around 45
kilometers from Kuah town at Gunung
Mat Cincang.The waterfalls got their
name from the plunging waters that
cascade down into a series of 7 pools.
