ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPT
The building blocks that are typical for this
site formed the grid for the concept. The
design is a compact volume that is built on
a surface of 50 by 50 metres with 5 building
layers. It has a modular structure with regular
rooms as well as assisted living flats. Thanks
to cuts in the volume, both light and air are
brought into the inside spaces, creating a
sense of transparency. The boundaries between inside and outside become unclear
and the relation between the two is often
surprising. The modular volumes also allow
every building layer to be split up into two independent parts.

SUSTAINABLE BUILDING
