Eventhough the paintingsof the Dutch mostersare often dominatedby dork cloudsour eye
olwoys seems to be drawn ta the lighter parts, even when it's only o small ray of sun peeking
through the clouds.
ln the co-productionof Het Geluidand Moving theater the artistshove seorchedfor a light in
our sometimes dork world. A world in which people ore full of hope, even when their
attempts to make their dreomscome true have resultedín nightmores.
Thereseorchthot these sixyoung ortistsof different diciplinairyond cultural bockgrounds
went through together took them from pointings of Ducth skiesto populor Americanculture
and the modern, glocolisedworld. A world in which discoveringnew worlds and spreading
your culture hos a whole different meaning than it had 400 yearsago when HenryHudson
,captoin under the Dutchflog, founded New York.
But still, even though so mony things hove changedsincethe founding of New York, one
thing remained the same, people are still lookingfor hope ond a better world, somewhere
over the rainbow.
