club at The Lemon Tree. Joining Hubby on
Friday will be multi-instrumentalist James
Blackshaw and on Saturday, cult legend
Malcolm Middleton, as well as others from
the festival line up. A perfect way to end
your day at True North!
Out & About
Artists from across the festival will be popping up across the city over the course
of Saturday 26 September. Performers will include Best Girl Athlete, James
Blackshaw, Siobhan Wilson, Steven Milne and others – see them up close and
personal in unusual places across Aberdeen. Keep an eye on the festival website and

Arts’ box offices at the Music Hall and His

between 9.30am and 6pm Monday to Saturday.

The ticket prices listed are the total cost including
any booking fees – there is an additional charge if
you opt to have your tickets posted to you.

There are two festival passes which offer
discounted prices on entry to Festival events
Weekend Pass £75 gives entry to all ticketed
events across the festival except for the Tom
Odell concert at the Music Hall
Sunday Pass £49.95 gives entry to all ticketed
performances on Sunday 27 September

Welcome to True North
Welcome to True North, Aberdeen’s new festival of music and song. We invite
you to join us in the land of the balladeers for a celebration of the North-east’s
legendary singer songwriter traditions. The style is diverse but the craft of song
and a stack of awards is what unites a superb line up of artists.
We open with the soaring anthems of Fatherson and bring the curtain down
with a celebration of the iconic Neil Young in his 70th year led by house band
for the evening Roddy Hart & The Lonesome Fire and featuring Scotland’s finest.
In between we bring you Ivor Novello award winning Tom Odell, MOJO magazine
folk award winning The Unthanks and Scottish Album of the Year 2015 songwriter
Katherine Joseph. Scottish Album of the year 2013 winner RM Hubbert hosts our
late night festival club – perfect for topping off the evening with a drink, great
food and chat.
You’ll find us at the Music Hall, the Lemon Tree and around the city. Why not treat

have gained them a loyal legion of fans
and acclaim across the industry. Having
recently signed to A Modern Way Records
this year, they released their debut album I
Am An Island in August and their stock has
