Shoreline Pavilion Entrance
As work continues on the new Shoreline ED and Patient
Tower, construction of a new Pavilion entrance facing the
Elizabeth Street crosswalk will be underway during the
first half of August. During this time, the hallway facing
Elizabeth Street will be closed off. The public restrooms
in that hallway will be closed for the first two weeks of
August during construction. Patients and staff will still
be able to access the Pavilion via the existing entrance
on the west side of the building or Pavilion elevators
through the exterior door nearest OR elevators. Signs will
be in place directing patients to the nearest restrooms.
• S
horeline Pavilion 9th Floor
Throughout August, crews will continue work on the build-out
of the 9th floor of the Pavilion. This will include plumbing
and electrical work to prepare space for 27 beds to be located
on that floor. Work crews will utilize service elevator #34
during all Pavilion construction. Please help make patients
and visitors on the 8th floor aware that this is related to our
campus transformation project.

Work crews will begin the 2nd floor expansion of several
Operating Rooms. Some rooms may be closed or relocated
during this period. Please make patients and visitors aware that
this is related to our campus transformation project.
•Abdominal Specialist-South TX Building Demolition
To make way for the Shoreline Pavilion’s new helicopter
landing pad, the Abdominal Specialist Building located at
the corner of Shoreline Boulevard and Morgan Street will be
demolished in late August or early September. The practice in
that building will relocate to another space approximately a
block up Morgan Street. Please be aware of construction near
that corner as work is underway.
•Central Utility Plant
The Central Utility Plant, which will house many of the main
operating systems for the transformed Shoreline campus,
is taking shape near the Centennial Parking Garage. The
driveway entrance off Santa Fe Street will remain open and
will be moved closer to Ayers Street. Please watch for crews as
you exit onto Santa Fe Street.
• S
horeline Pier Drilling
Construction crews have erected several large cranes at the
site of the new Shoreline patient tower as they begin drilling
and erecting the piers that will support the 10-story structure.
Work will continue 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as the tower
begins to take shape. Please be aware of work crews around the
perimeter of the work site and watch for large trucks in the area.
• S
horeline Showroom
The grand opening of our project showroom is slated for
September, which will be located at the Shoreline campus.
When opened, the showroom will be accessible by Associates,
