Mid Valley Disposal school education program is focused to improve our environment by
reducing waste and recycling. Our program is offered to schools and students grades K-12.
In 2012, California Law AB341 was passed requiring schools and school districts that generate more than 4 cubic yards of waste per week to recycle.
In 2016, California Law AB 1826 will require businesses and schools that generate more
than 8 or more cubic yards of waste to subscribe to organic waste recycling services.

We cover topics that correlate to California
Science Content Standards for K-12. We can vary
our presentations from 15 to 45 minutes and
they can include both a presentation,
hands-on activities, and games. Making a positive
impact on the learning environment.
A Recycling Coordinator can meet with leadership classes and guide students to promote recycling
on campus, and take lead of the campus recycling program.
We can sponsor contests between
classroom(s) that promote recycling
education. We will provide the

During the tour, they will receive
educational information on the
importance and benefits of recycling
along with the entire recycling process
that occurs behind the scenes.
The recycling coordinator is available to attend special events such
as school carnivals, Earth Days,
career days, etc.
A Recycling Coordinator will assist
each school site to implement a
recycling program on campus.
