With its fully reclining airline-style seats and designed top speed of 350 km per hour, the new Beijing-Shanghai express embodies China's race to the future. When we arrive in Shanghai we are met and transferred to our luxurious hotel. Day 2 Thursday 15th October 2015 The day begins with a city tour of Shanghai, the classical Ming Dynasty Yu Yuan Gardens with pavilions, towers, terraces and Pudong - the new economic district across from the Bund and some window shopping along bustling Nanjing Road. We may have time to see the French Concession, the Shanghai Jewish Ghetto or visit the local neighborhood to get a glimpse into daily life in this historical area. Tonight’s highlight is a spectacular evening Huangpu river cruise where you will see great views of the city and Shanghai’s spectacular skyline. Day 3 Friday 16th October 2015 After breakfast, we visit Suzhou, an ancient water town built in 514 BC. Suzhou is an ancient city with 2500 years’ history, located in the center of Yangtze Delta. The unique characteristics of the past are still retained in present-day Suzhou. It is renowned for the classic gardens, canals, silks, lakes, operas, legends and museums. Day 4 Saturday 17th October 2015 The morning is at your leisure. We depart our hotel at midday for Semi-Final day at the Shanghai Masters. Held at the Qi Zhong Tennis Centre, it debuted in 2009 and has since established itself as one of the premier tournaments on the ATP World Tour featuring Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, Murray and the world’s best players. Day 5 Sunday 18th October 2015 This morning is our tennis match at the stylish Shanghai Racquet Club. The Club has an inviting and friendly environment away from the Shanghai buzz. After the matches and presentation, we move on to the Big Bamboo which is one of the larger and more popular sports bars in Shanghai for lunch. Tonight, a Farewell Dinner party will celebrate a wonderful tour. Day 6 Monday 19th October 2015 Free morning and transfer to the airport for your flight. Day 7 Tuesday 20th October 2015 Arrive mid morning—home sweet home!!!
