MEDIA PACK 2014 www.shekicks.net facebook/SHEKICKS.NET @shekicksdotnet She Kicks is the online community and bi-monthly magazine for women’s & girls’ football in the UK. Football is the fastest growing female participation sport in the UK. It also ranks third behind men’s football and cricket for total participation numbers of all sports within the UK. She Kicks interacts with players, coaches, administrators, decision makers and fans at all levels of the game and due to our commitment and prolonged history in promoting the sport, elicits very strong brand loyalty and levels of trust. Brief history: September 1996 – On the Ball magazine is first published. A few years later the name is changed to She Kicks. In 2001 the magazine is rebranded to Fair Game and also launched in the US. In 2009 Fair Game becomes She Kicks and a new brand, website and magazine are launched. She Kicks has always embraced the changing forms of communication and with the rebranding in 2009 we started to publish weekly e-newsletters, allowing readers to stay in touch with the development of the game. With the advent of social media, tools like Facebook and Twitter have enabled us to reach a whole new “global” audience of women’s football fans. www.shekicks.net facebook/SHEKICKS.NET @shekicksdotnet How do we interact with fans? It’s a great platform to promote and raise the profile of all things in our game and at all levels. Personally I have read every single issue since “On the Ball” and I always look forward to it arriving in the post so I can keep updated on all the local news and views. I’m a regular user of the website and I do recommend She Kicks as another great source of information on our fantastic game to complement our own FA channels.
